I had Braxton hicks from 5 ms on but I had no contractions I could feel the last few days leading up to my delivery day! it was during a routine NST they noticed I was having reg contractions. By then I was at 36 weeks. Oddly my OBGYN had told me in the visit the same morning I had the NST discovery I would more than likely go full term. She had even done an ultrasound and no one noticed I was in labor until I was on the monitor. I had been on light bed rest since week 32 but I did not spend as much time in bed as I should have. I spent more time at the Library.

One of the symptoms is that it is common to have back pains and your tummy will tighten. there is really no way to tell if you will have your babies early. You just have to take care of yourself. Listen to your OB. Don't worry too much about it. Not all women go early. I hoped I wouldn't but I went in at 32 weeks. I knew women who blew their doctors off when their doctors told them to stay in bed. My doctor told me to take it easy and my specialist told me to do it as well. He wouldn't tell me to be on bed rest because he knew I wouldn't listen. As I could tell, he had dealt with women like me before. Well, I thought I was over the defiance after a few lessons learned from defying those who were wiser than I. The day I went in labor I realized how emotional I was being. And then I had been really tired. So, that day I timed the contractions. I felt my water break but when I showed up at the hospital only one bag broke. I had a c-section and the twins were flown by helicopter to the nearest hospital with a NICU. I was w/o the rest of my family for a month to be with my babies. Having twins is amazing. But if your doctor tells you to rest, do it. Avoid sexual intercorse b/c the mans sperm has a natural substance that triggers labor. Prepare yourself for preterm labor though. It's never a bad thing to get educated on how the NICU works and how to care for your babies if they are biorn early.

My twins where born at 36wks - i did go into labour at 29wks but thankfully they could stop it. im sure all multiple mummies have the same fear, but please just try to enjoy the pregnancy it certainly is an awesome experience. :)
I was 39 weeks and went in to get induced and when I got there they told me I already was in labour and was 4 cm along. Crazy! I had no Idea and felt no labour pains. I kind of felt like a circus act as the nurse who stayed with me in my room brought in other nurses to show them how I was contracting and didn't know. I had the labour every woman must dream of. I was on bed-rest from 31 weeks and onward as the doctor told me that I was 2 cm. I received a couple of shots to help the development of my twins lungs just in case but I went beyond full-term and got to bring them home the next day! Fabulous experience!! Later the Doctor explained that I probably had a pinched nerve or something to that effect to cause my not having any pains.
With my next baby (a singleton) I felt EVERYTHING!!!)

I went into labor at 28 weeks they did manage to stop the labor after a good 6hours and after that I stopped working, I worked in a doctors office so 5 doctors and my own told me it was time to slow down. I had a great pregnancy, and prior to the 28 weeks no complications at all. I had a c-section at 38 weeks and my identical boys were born and weighed in at 6.9 and 7.2, big healthy boys, and an absolute joy since they came inot my life:D

We watched a movie and after the movie I went to the toilet and when I went back to lie down in the living room the whole seat was wet coz my water broke. Go to your doc.... Lie with your feet higher than your head, stay away from foods that got loads of water like watermelon and take it easy as far as you can. Also try not to drive. Only advice I can give you. I walked 37 weeks with my boys.

Ha! I had contractions every 3 minutes for 2 weeks straight! They tried everything to stop them, but no use. I also lost my mucus plug about that time. But I honestly had strong contractions for over a month before they were born. If you're not showing signs be happy! When the signs start, you will know.

if you are unsure it never hurts to ask your doctor they can help you to prolong you pregnancy. I had twins 6 weeks early but I can tell you that they were not due until early December, and on one of my appts with the dr she put me on meds to help prevent labor she had noticed that I was already having contractions at that time. A few weeks later I kept feeling this nagging back pain when I called they told me to get up to the hospital, that I was in labor, well needless to say I had a few stays before the night that the girls were born and although they were not my first children I did the big no no and took a bath to ease the back ache I had, not the best idea. I did lose my mucus plug three weeks before they were born and that kind of let me know we were close but still if you are unsure it is always better to be safe and ask your doctor
