I had twin boys 12 weeks ago and i did not even have one day of morning sickness....i felt fantastic and had an amazing pregnancy and natural birth! stay positive, eat healthy and stay fit and you will do great!!!

My sickness lasted until i had my twins at 32 weeks. Medicines did not help also. It was horrible because there was no relief but well worth it at the end. As for headaches i used cold ice packs between my eyes and it relieved some of the pressure. Hang in there.

My morning sickness was awful with my twins but at about 14 weeks it just stopped - it was like someone flipped a switch. I hope yours goes away soon!! If it helps, they say that morning sickness is an indication that everything is going very well (because of the hormone levels)...I guess two healthy babies are worth the few months of sickness :) Good luck!

I didn't have any morning sickness at all with my twin girls, and I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks due to getting bloodwork done for a surgery I was supposed to have. The only thing that made me naseous or quezy the whole pregnancy was when I ate Taco Bell... I love Taco Bell, and so the first time I ate it while pregnant I thought it was just random upset stomach. Second time I thought oh no, I'm not going to be able to eat this anymore, and so I tried one more time and realized I just would have to wait til the girls were born!!! However I did have horrible, horrible headaches. It's normal for me to get bad headaches, even without being pregnant, but not being able to take excedrine, I was really miserable. My doctor had me start taking iron pills and that helped a whole lot. It didn't get rid of them completely but they were much more manageable!

sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time, I too seemed to have double the sickness with my twins than with my first daughter.
Since certain foods were also my triggers to vomiting and constipation so I spent a lot of time trying to figure these out to get some sort of relief.
hang in there, just think as you get through the next day you are one day closer to seeing your amazing babies

unfortuntally i was sick my entire pregnency. i lived off prezals and icecream. sorry it was worth it in the end i had to beautiful girls and i lost so much weight that i was thiner after my pregnency than before

I did, unfortunately. I had horrible m/s with my singleton daughter and it was worse and lasted longer with my twins. The headaches were worse, though. Those lasted up until I was probably 28 weeks. Good luck and I hope it ends soon for you!!

I had all day & all night sickness with my twins! I took a natural morning sickness tablet from the health shop (it had ginger in it) Apparantly ginger is the way to go. It didnt go away but relieved it alot. Mine went away around 15/16 weeks. As for the constipation...wow that was horrendeous...nothing worked! Stock up on ginger ale fizzy drink & anything ginger...good luck....you will have a nice surprise at the end...2 beautiful babys...:)

I hate to tell you but my monring sickness never went away until i was about six to seven months along..... it was all the time throwing up no matter i what i ate i know about half hour later i would be bring it up....

I was sick all day with my first - singleton until I reached 13 weeks.... Second pregnancy with my twins, I felt fine... I even took several repeat HPTs for several weeks, thinking I couldn't be pregnant with two babies because I wasn't sick! Side Note: my twins hardly moved during my entire pregnancy too - my singleton moved all the time, but I hardly ever felt the twins. I would occassionally feel our son - who was on top, but never felt our daughter who was transverse across the bottom.

I had mornign sickness with my twins for approximately two months. The only time I felt well enough to eat was around the dinner hour. I'd eat and then boom, nauseous again! However, one in to the second / third trimesters I felt really well and could eat, but not a lot. When the babies really start to grow everything gets rearranged in your body. You may be famished, but after two bites, you're full!

My twins are now 11 and I had all my pregnancy symptoms bad, especially the "morning sickness." I had it all the time, every day thru the whole pregnancy. I ate smaller portions, but more frequently, I didn't waste my money eating out at great restaurants cuz I knew I was going to puke it up anyway, and sipped flat 7 up or Sprite. I think the Dr. prescribed me Maylox (??), which provided a brief repreive. I had awful reflux--the Dr. thought it was hilarious when I was describing the symptoms for it as I had never experienced it before. Eating sm portions of Sorbet helped sometimes. Someone once recommended eating something minty but I can't recall if it helped or not. Good luck, girl! Just remember, it won't last and you'll be doubly blessed very soon! :0)

You brought up lemonade. When I was pregnate with my twins( which I didn't know I was having until 2 weeks before they were born), I had a glass of lemonade in one had and a glass of milk in the other. I graved them both during that nine months of my life. By the way I carried them full term. They only came two days early.

I was lucky with my twins. All I had was nausea and the saltine crackers help with my nausea...I never threw up but I was tired all the time.

Have soda crackers next to your bed and eat them before you even pick your head up from the pillow. That is what I did when I carried my twins 41 years ago. All I had to do was look at a Pepsi bottle and I got indigestion from the day I turned 3 months along. that happened with my other two pregnacies also. I survied however.

It might not! My headaches ended at about 14 weeks, but Zofran triggered many more headaches. Don't try to go without, the babies need food!

YES! Zofran saved my babies, I'm sure of it! I went from vomiting 5 - 15 times/dayfor 12 weeks, then tried zofran, and vomited once or twice a day on it... Stopped needing it at 26 weeks, had healthy 38 weekers!

I had 24/7 nausea for the first 12wks, but no throwing up. Some days I wish I would just throw up and I would feel better. Felt like a really bad 24/7 hangover. I wasn't sick again until about 2-3wks before the birth and that is when I would throw up anything I would eat.

Yes I suffered with my twins! To the extent that after they were born (at 30 wks) I was considered "anorexic".I was soooo under-weight for my height (I'm 5"9 & was about 47 kilo's)that I looked ill! Can't say it will end before they're born,but it IS worth it in the end!

i kept ginger on hand and downed it regularly for "morning sickness" with my twins...An form works (gingerale, ginger cookies, crystalized ginger, pickled ginger) Whichever one sounds most apealing to you. It has been working naturally on nausea for ages...But yes, the morning sickness with my twins was worse. Once I could control the vomitting, It was a matter of learning to anticipate the nausea with the ginger...

It was the most horriable thing I ever went through. I wouldn't eat till after 1pm I know thats not healthy for babies, but I had to work. Nothing helped me but starchy foods. Mashed potatoes after 1 o'clock in the day. I was so tired to I could hardly stay awake driving. The heartburn was far worse too. Twins are such a special blessing though my boys were worth all of it but I would not want to do it again. It will be over soon enough then you don't get to sleep for 3 months or longer. Our boys were a real job they were our first and we both had to work I was really tough but now they are 10 and so much easier unless they get into a fight then we have to litterally go between them to break it up. I worry about the teen years, when those punches start landing harder and I have ER bills for broken noses. Good Luck

I had all day sickness with the twins until about 20 weeks and then the massive heartburn set in and continued the rest of the pregnancy. The twins were my 4th pregnancy and by far the worst!!! Hang in there... it will get better someday. It's totally worth it all when you see those precious babies!!

i was sick till the day I delivered my twins. But it was just first thing in the morning. it was awful knowing once i got out of bed i was going to get sick.but after that i was fine. I only gained 31 lbs. i delieved at 37 weeks no other probles besides sickness but the day after they were deliever nothing so thankful for that

This is also my 2nd pregnancy, 1st set of mulitiples... I am 30 weeks now. Every pregnancy is differant.... but at 12 weeks I still had horrific morning sickness, vomiting, constipation.... the works. I also took zofran 8mg... and it didn't really work, and I still threw up after taking it.... sometimes it just 'dulled' the symptoms. The bad part is, I had all of these symptoms until about 22 weeks :o( Hopefully it ends sooner for you! I still get nausea, but the zofran takes it away for the most part now. For the constipation, my doc told me to take colace, I take one in the AM and it has worked wonders for me so far.

Try to eat more protein foods and snacks and not carbs. That helped my constant sickness. I snacked on peanuts and almonds constantly since the sickness also got worse when my stomach was empty. Drinking lemonade helped too, for some reason.

Yes... the entire pregnancy.
You might need to alternate meds (Zof, Reglan, etc) to get through. Don't skip meds or try to "make it"...catching up is bad...
**If you're having a C, make SURE to tell the anesthesiologist that you were sick, so they'll give you meds to help during delivery.

Hi! Sorry to say but it is quiet normal what you are experiencing. I had asked my doctor and she told me that with twins you get all the pregnancy symptoms possible because of the more hormones you have in you system then with just one baby.
I would wake up in the morning with nausea. Open up the fridge and run to the bathroom. If I were lucky this would happen just once a day (when I didn't run into any strange smelling things).
As for the headaches, for the first few months it could happen and they are awful! But if it continues through the last quarter of pregnancy you need to tell your doctor because it could be a sign of high blood pressure.
My nausea went away at the 6th month but swollen legs kicked in!
But believe it or not, you will forget all of this when you see your little babies!! Good luck! And drink a lot of water (but if that doesn't stay down, try coke or sprite which is not highly recommended better than no fluids at all).

I was on Zofran for my entire pregnancy, to control my nausea. Whenever I tried to wean myself, I'd throw up even after only drinking water! My doctor eventually asked me to not to try to be so strong and to just keep taking the Zofran so I could get through my pregnancy. We needed special doctor's approval to continue getting the Zofran paid by our insurance. My advice is to hang in there, and continue to take the Zofran even if you think you feel better. It's not worth losing a day to being sick, when you can control it with Zofran. Get plenty of rest too, which will also help you feel better. I felt my best when I got my naps in to fight the grogginess. Congratulations and enjoy your pregnancy. It is all so worth it, in the end. ;-D

I have been really lucky with my twin pregnancy. I had some mild nausea for about six weeks in the first trimester but never actually threw up. The second trimester was a breeze. I had more energy and felt pretty good. I'm now two weeks away from my delivery date, and I have to say that for me the hardest part has been the third trimester mainly because of my size. The fatigue, shortness of breath and back ache bother me and it's especially difficult being stuck at home on bed rest. Yet, I think every pregnancy is different and you just have to keep taking it day by day. Remember, all the aches and pains we go through will be totally worth it in the end. My heart goes out to all of you dealing with the many symptoms of pregnancy. Be strong, it's only temporary :o).

Actually, I never threw up but, I was very nauseous until about 16 weeks. I waited for the magic 12 week mark but, it took another month- much to my disappointment. I hope you feel better soon!

I agree with Khadijah -- morning sickness often doesn't go away when you are carrying twins. I had morning ("all day") sickness my whole pregnancy. My doctor said that is normal for twins and that it may last the whole pregnancy. For the constipation, I would just make sure you take stool softener EVERY day. I would watch the headaches, though -- that can be a sign of high blood pressure. You might want to mention that one to your doctor. Could be a lot of things, but keep on eye on that one.

I had never really had morning sickness with my older kids, but with the twins I felt like I was heaving constantly. Everything made me sick. Ugh. I did wear off somewhere in the beginning of the second trimester, but I still remember how awful it was. Hopefully it will get better soon. Good luck! :-)

i had all day sickness with my twins. it lasted for about 3 months. i had some vomiting, that thankfully only lasted about a month... but it was AWFUL!! i couldn't do much other than lay in bed or on the couch. it sucked! i ate a lot of peanut butter toast and drank lemonade and sucked on lemon drops. that worked best for me. but after those few months, when it passed, it was GONE! and other than being a little tired, i felt GREAT! there IS an end in site! hang in there. also, are you taking prenatal vitamins? i found that my prenatals were definitely adding to the sickness, so i started taking them right before i went to bed with a small snack. that helped tremendously! good luck. there is nothing like having twins! you are going to love it!!

I totally understand how you feel. During the first four months was like I've never been able to complete the process of digestion. Everything that goes down comes back up the same way within 10 minutes. I have constipation problem at first as well but I try to drink a big glass of water every hour during the day and one glass of fresh mix vegetable and fruit juice. But by the 17 or 18 weeks things started getting better. Hang in there :-)

I didn't have any morning sickness at all with my first daughter and once we found out I was pregnant with twins I was sure it would happen for me but once again no morning sickness at all with the twin girls. So it must be having girls for me! I do feel for all of you that have it bad with or without twins tho! Must suck! :(

I wish I could be the barer of good news but no such luck. My morning sickness was absolutely horrible!!! I remember calling my sister when I was around 11 weeks asking her "I wonder why I haven't had any morning sickness? Maybe something is wrong!" She warned me to be careful what I wish for and she was RIGHT!!! At 12 weeks I began getting sooooo sick and it lasted my entire pregnancy. I would vomit 2 and 3 times a day. I was put on Zorfran and that helped pretty good, but then there were certain things that even the Zorfran could not help with. Brushing my teeth, seeing egg yolks, trying to eat red meat, certain smells, etc all made me vomit. Hell has no fury like a pregnant woman with twins. LOL In fact, I even threw up twice on the delivery table while they were delivering my girls. In the end, it was all worth it and everything melted away when I was holding my girls in my arms.

my sickness lasted 22 weeks with blown blood vessels in my eyes from throwing up so hard and long. watch the headaches but the constipation lasts the whole time. eat small little snacks when you don't feel well. i know it sucks but in the end you forget it happened and have two little ones to love. mine will be 3 next week and are so much fun! Good luck and get an extra supply of zofran (i took it too)
