Honey, they wont be able to tell properly until 12 weeks. Until then, look forward to it. At least you have been given this probability. My 6 week blood test showed the extra protein & they told me I might be carrying a baby with no brain! How do you think I felt for the next 6 weeks??? I could hardly believe my luck when we found out it was twins. Good luck sweety.

I only see one.. I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks and there were clearly two babies. I would think they would have done bloodwork to confirm. HCG levels will be significantly higher for twins. My levels were more than doubled compared to the levels of a singleton pregnancy.

I only see one baby, but then again, mine had separate sacs and we didn't find the second one until they were almost done with the ultrasound.

well, not seeing much either.
How was your beta level? if it was normal and correlates with your pregnancy, is not twins. I did mine 5 days after finding out I was pregnant (and also 5 days late of my period) and they were high. On week 5 we saw 2 sacs so we confirmed the twins.
Good luck!

i'm not really seeing what u are looking at. are there supposed to be 2 babies in the sac? (like identicals?) It looks certain there are NOT fraternals. You can see my ultrasound pics on my facebook page to see how clear mine (and most other fraternal u.s pics) were. But if there might be identicals in the same sac, that might be a little harder to tell so maybe that is what he was saying??? It is also always harder to tell in the picture than it is when you are watching them moving live on the u/s screen. So maybe he saw something then that is too hard to make out in the picture. There is almost definitely not 2 sacs though. Well...if there are 2, congratulations! twins are great fun! but if not, congratulations! one is so much easier! (My twins just turned 2 last month and my single daughter will be 1 in a few months- it was so much easier with her!)

I am not a doctor or an ultrasound tech. Basically the only thing I can say is, prepare for the unexpected. Make sur eyou are taking care of your self, because if there are two (which you should find out at your next ultrasound), you will want to make sure your body is as ready as possible!
