Yup, mine look alike, but them so did my sister and I as kids, and we are 13 years apart and have different dads! No-one really knows who's who, even though I dress them different.

The link I posted has information regarding it. They're otherwise known as Polar Body twins, and it's a possibility with our twins as well because they're initial fertilization dates were 3 days apart. The testing for it is very expensive though last time I checked, and it's still in research phase.

i have 4 month old twin girls who had 2 seperate sacs and started with seperate placentas so were supposed to be non identical however they are very similar and are getting to look more and more like one another my gp suggested today they may be half identical. (never heard of this before and would be interested to find out more if anyone knows anything about it)

i have 11 yr old twin boys. they looked identical for a long time. some people still find they look alaike. i can tell them apart. they have the same blood type and were in seperate sacks but shared a placenta. i find they look different, but parents can always tell..

I know someone already said this..but just wanted to add that 2 placentas does not mean fraternal. If they are the same sex there is no way to know before birth, and even after often through dna. It's all about when the split occurs. It kills me that docs don't explain this to twin mommas!

I have 2 year old fraternal girls and I have people that argue with me allllll of the time that they are identical but they dont look anything alike. IDK! I guess anything is possible!

i have 6 month old twins who presented in seperate sacs with seperate placentas but who have the same body parts(male) & blood types & who look very very similar! my husband & i both agree that they have their moments of looking exactly like the other one & then at other times we think they look so dis-similar that there's no way they could be identical!
unless they are very different looking when they're older or we buy the $200 DNA test we won't know for sure.

2 placentas does not mean 2 separate eggs; it only means they COULD be fraternal. Same as 1 placenta doesn't prove identical; sometimes 2 merge into one.

I do! My girls will be four in march and no one can tell them apart. I argue with people who tell me they are identical..I try to explain there were 2 placenta's which proves they were 2 seperate eggs...

Yes...I do they are mirro image twins!! Every picture I take they look as if the ohter one is his mirror image! We played on a MAC and they have a picture thingy on there that we used, we took a picture of one twin and reversed it..omg it ;looked just like his brother!!

I have 2nd couins who ar twins, and even though they were seperate sacs and seperat placentas they are spitting image of eachother, at 3yrs old there mum gave them a DNA test and it confirmed they are identical twins.

That is more common than identical twins looking identical. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are fraternal....
