First words and steps

My g/g identical twins will be one in nine days. Neither one of them has uttered a word. The closest we get is the occasional mamamamamama and that only happens when they are mad or crying. And only one of them has taken anything resembling a first step. They would rather crawl everywhere.

I was just wondering when your twins did these things and what their first words were.

I have 22mnth old twins a boy and a girl. neither of them talk they didnt walk til they were 15moths and 14months. my son seems more advance but my daughter knows how to get what she wants, my doctor says that twins talk later because they have each other and don't feel they need to talk to us.

My g/g twins were talking at an early age.... They were doing things at a very advanced stage but there is alot of children out there that doesn't start talking or walking until after they are a year old.. It just takes time let them learn at their own pace...

My b/b twins were 1 in April, and both were walking one at 11 months and the other at 12 months. As for words only an occassional dada, and ut ut - pointing to something and attempting for us to give it to them. There was a mumma there too at one point that disappeared. Mama is harder than dada according to the speech therapist currently working with one of my boys. Walking can be different for every baby so don't worry to much about that....

My g/g identical twins will be 18 months on March 30th, they didn't start walking until they were about 13 months, and talking their not really. Every now and then we'll get somthing that resembles doggie, dada, and on a good day a mama. But that didn't start until Jan of this year. My girls were born at 30 weeks and were in the NICU for two months. I keep being told not to worry that their talking will come. I was also told because my girls are so physically active that the speach will take longer due to the fact that the brain can not develop both the physical and verbal at the same time. I don't know how true that is, but thats what i've been told. Non the less enjoy these precious times as it just goes so fast. This time last year I had two sweet babies, and now I have crazy little todler people who get into everything.

My boys will be one in a couple of weeks and neither one "talks". They babble but no real words yet. One has been walking for a month now and the other started crawling at that time. He now will take a few steps but is pretty wobbly. He's a much faster crawler and seems pretty content to stay that way for a while.
