I feel like my girls might be getting too big to sleep together because they turn so much now and roll over..i'm afraid that they will start waking each other up. Does anyone have any advice?

I moved mine when they started rolling over each other. I don't remember exactly what age that was but once they started getting active in their sleep I felt like they probably weren't letting each other sleep very well...

At 3 months I put my twin boys into separate cribs, because they would roll and kick each other!

My boys never slept in the same crib. I had read it was a SIDS risk, so they slept by themselves from day one.

My twins have never slept together. They sleep in the same room but not in the same crib. I think it just depends are you and your girls.

our doctor said never let them share a crib because of SIDS. i never took the chance. they are about to be 2 and are in toddler beds now so if they want to sleep in the same bed i cant stop it, but they seem to like having their own space.

boys got their own cribs when they were about 6 months old didnt help though because Nick would just craw out and into his brothers anyway.

my girls were in the small crib until they were 3 months. then they went into the nursery and into there own cribs. they sleep in the same room, but not the same crib any more.i think they need there own space, place one moves all over in her sleep.

When we brought our b/g twins home from the hospital, they shared a crib in our room for 2 weeks before getting moved to separate cribs in the nursery, where they remain today at 11 months. They slept through the night by the time they were a month old.

How old are they? I think I put mine in seperate cribs when they were around 7 months, and then twin beds just before their second birthday. They still occasionally sleep in the same bed, together, but not often. I'm not even sure they realize they are twins, either.

Mine are boy girl twins and I had to separate them at about 7 months because if one woke up they would pull themselves up and step all over the other. I couldn't get them to sleep in separate cribs they woke up 9 times that night and they usually slept from 8 PM to 5:30 AM. I then pushed the cribs together and they slept next to each other and held hands through the slats of the cribs. I remember that moment checking on them and they are holding hand made me cry!!!

My girls were in the same crib until they were 6 months old, and even then they never disturbed one another. They just started getting too big and we felt at that point they needed their own space. Even though they were in separate cribs they remained in the same room. We felt it was important to keep them together to help them adjust easier. They are now 2 1/2 years old and still in the same room. They are the best of friends and we have no plans of putting them in their own rooms until they ask.

I separated my b/g twins at around 8 weeks into their own cribs just by chance and they slept so much better. Although now I'm considering seperate rooms because it seems to me they are waking eacother up in the early morning when they are not in a deep sleep and the littlest noise will wake the other and vice versa so I'm constantly up and down from 4 am on! Needless to say I'm pretty exhausted :-)

My twin boys (18 mos) had always slept together with mom and dad on a king size bed, a couple of weeks ago we added a twin mattress for them to sleep on and they are sleeping on it just fine by themselves. They like to cuddle up to each other at night while sleeping- does not seem to bother either of them.

my girls are 5 months old and i only put my girls in the same bed when i am in there and they are "playing together". doctor told me that doing that actually increased their chance for SIDS. i didnt want to lose sleep over it... now they scoot all over their beds so i am glad that they are not used to sleeping next to each other, that is a fight i wont have to worry about!!

My twin boys still share a crib, and playpin together. They are 5 months now. They sleep better together and dont wake each other up. They sleep longer, which is good for me.. They dont take naps during the day. I cant think of seperating them just yet.

I just seperated by b/g twins. They are 3 months old. My daughter refused to sleep in her crib for the first 3 nights, on the third night I moved the cribs right next to each other and took off the crib bumpers. Now she can see her brother and hear him. It's been a week since I moved the cribs and everything seems to be going well so far!!

My twins did not share the same bed very long after birth...one liked music, one did not. One liked vibration and the other did not...it was a lost cause so I separated them by the 5th week. They are 4 now and want "sleep overs" every night with each other. For Boy/Girl Twins, they are the best of friends! I love their bond. You have to do what is best for you and not what others say is best or what you should do.

Sounds like mine were about the age of yours when I put them in seperate cots, starting to move around more! I did have the cots together though or end to end so they were still close. They are now two and they have beds next to each other in the same room as my 4yr old!

After our boys were in 2 small cribs to start, they moved into their own full sized crib, probably around 3 months. Sure miss those days! They are all grown and 26 years old. They are not married yet and live together 500 miles from home. Boo hoo!

My boys shared a crib in my room until they were about 3 1/2 months. By that point, they were getting too big to share a crib so we put them in separate cribs directly across from each other in the nursery.

i separated mine from day 1. As long as they are asleep side by side and they can see each other they will be fine. It is you that will make them anxious if you have have fun with it they will too. You will be surprised how much they understand at that age?

I seperated them at 2 months cuz I didn't want to have a really hard time seperating them older after they were really used too being right next to each other at night. I thought it might cause some issues so thats why I did mine early.

Mine were only separated when they were really too big for the cot I had them in. I think it was about two or three months old though. I kept the cots close together though for a few months. They were fine.

I decided not to have my b/g share cribs...I thought it would be easier than trying to separate them later on down the line. They have been doing really good with that so far.

I put them in separate cots side by side (metre in between) when they started to wriggle up the other end of the cot. Will keep them in same room as long as they want or until needed. (boy & girl)

my twins slept in the same crib at first because they were preemies and we were adopting them, so we wanted them to have each other while they slept. the experts we talked to said to wait until they were a year to separate them, but as soon as they were rolling, we separated them. They would turn around and kick each other in the head, etc, so we figured it was time! They still share a room at 20 months with their cribs across the room from each other. They laugh hysterically and play for about an hour before they fall asleep for naps!

It's interesting reading about the diversity here. It just shows that there is no one right way. My girls are almost 22 now and slept in the same crib for a time, then they slept in separate cribs but when they woke up, they would stand up and "talk" to each other and swap pacifiers. When they went to a big bed, they were in a double and we regularly found them curled up together. As they got older, they wanted bunks, so we did that, then they wanted separate bedrooms so when older brother went to college, they each had their own space. Interestingly enough, they would still sometimes want to sleep together. The chose colleges 3 states away from each other but the phone lines stay lit. Twins are so much fun!

If you are concerned, go ahead and move them into their own cribs. Or if they are small enough still, place a long round pillow in the middle of one crib going the short way and place one baby on one side and the other on the other side. That way they do not disturb each other. I did that when my girls were babies and it worked fine until they grew too long.

from day 1 when we got home. Hospital suggested that twins should not be placed in the same crib due to the danger of SIDS but we do put them in the same bed during the day when there are adult supervision in the same room.

I had my boys in the same cot until their heads touched (i had their heads in the middle and their feet touching the ends so they couldnt wriggle down and so they had their own blankets). When one of my boys woke screaming the house down, the other didnt even bat an eyelid! they have been to together all the time, so they dont hear it. and when i put them in their own cots, i kept the cots side by side.

my gals still sleep in the same bed at 7 years old and with their little sister too.. They have a bunk bed, but refuse to sleep apart. :) I figure some day they'll want more space. They're running out of leg room.

I seperated mine at 4 months old because they were kicking each other even at opposite ends. We did however put there cribs together where they could see each other to help with the adjustment of being seperated. There was just enough room to walk thru the cribs.

My twins slept in the same crib until about 14 months old that is when we gave them seperate toddler beds. They usualy sleep in seperate beds but many many morning I wake up and find Kayden has gotten out of his bed and went and crawled in the bed with his twin sister Kayla. So they are two and still sleep in the same bed quite a bit.

We separated our B/G twins at 6 months, and only because my daughter would end up smacking her brother in the face during the night and waking him up. They are 6 yrs old now and still share a room (twins beds though) and have no desire to have their own rooms yet. They still want to be together to sleep.
