Full bed or separate twin beds for twins?

My suggestion is separating them but getting the same bedding sets for them. Maybe the pink hello kitty bedding is the most suitable for the them in online shop lightuphome.

Thanks Kylee, my boys only shared a bassinet for a couple of weeks and a crib for about a month as well. they have always liked their own space and to move a lot:+)

I like the idea of them wanting to share a bed. Mine are still in their cribs (18 months old now) but I got the convertable cribs that turn toddler bed to a full size bed.... I hope that was a wize decision.

My boys started climbing out of their cribs at 14 months and at that time we bought 2 twin beds that could convert into bunk beds. So they boh slept in their own twin beds until they were 2 or 3 and then they slept in them as bunk beds. They have never fought over who got the top. One picked the top and the other the bottom. We have never put them in the same bed, crib, bassinet, nothing and they do great in their beds.

at what age did you ladies move your twins our of their cribs? mine are 12 months. (I have an older son, but dont remember:)

My twins slept together in there bassinet till they started rolling and ever since then they've had there own crib, toddler bed etc. Now they are 5 and have bunk beds. Issues over the top bunk never occured, they made plans on who was having top or bottom before they even got the bunk bed, it was pretty cute! :) I've caughten them sleeping with each other when they had toddler beds. They havent since :(

I ended up trying the full bed. They actually sleep on it the wide way since they are so short so for them it's huge! It's working great, the only problem so far is that they wake up sometimes and night and talk and play. We have to go in and tell them to go back to bed. :)

my twins are 5 and sleep in the same bed. i want to get another bed soon so they can have their own but for now they seem to be happy in the same bed

If they are happy, then go for it. Its hard being a mom of twins. I do what helps make my life little easier. As a twin myself, its lovely sharing with your twin.

My girls are only 16 months but my plan is that when they convert to a normal bed to put them together in a full size. I think back to when I was a kid and sharing a bed with my sisters how much closer we were because of that and how I think so many kids now miss out on that experience.

Well, I'm probably a bad example because mine are only two and I've just had such a weird time with sleeping arrangements. One of their cribs started breaking when they were 14 mo. old (got it used) and I couldn't afford new cribs so I put them in toddler beds early and they always crawled into bed together. Then I broke one of the toddler beds when they were 23 months old, tripping over one of their toys and falling on it....so now we have a full size futon that's low to the ground and it's perfect. They both roll alot anyways so they have had no problems falling off or squishing each other, like they did in the toddler beds. And I like that during the day I can put it in a couch position to give them room to play. :-) (Plus it was $20 on craigslist)

My girls have had bunk beds since they were 3... and yes, they used to fight over the top. At first neither one wanted it. Eventually they both did... We had them switch off for a while, but they would end up together on occasion. I've even got some pics of when they were about 8.5 curled up sleeping together like when they were infants. ♥

Now (at almost 10) my challenge is that neither of them can sleep in their bedroom, so I end up w/ blankets all over my living room every night.....

I've been having the same debate. My twins are just shy of 4, but they end up in the same bed every night. They are still in toddler beds, but I've been debating getting a bunk set with a full on the bottom for that reason. Of course when they get older they will probably fight over the top.
