I have 18 month old identical twin boys. I am having issues with ideas of clothes for a cheap price. I like dressing them alike so going to yard sales and swap meets is hard for finding two of something. I have five boys total and my husband was laid off in April. I do shop at walmart occasionally as they have outfits for like $3.50. But it adds up! My other boys get alot of things past down from the first one. The twins are a whole other story......any ideas?

I used to try and keep up with the dressing alike but it's to expensive and looks like they don't have anything. Once Upon a Child is a great resale shop for all ages. I also like JC Penny and Kohls they have great mix and match stuff. Now they my identical boys are 4 they will not dress the same. They are trying to be thier own person. Also, join your local Clusters or Mothers of Multiples, the moms give stuff away all the time.

What area are you from? Some of the bigger cities have "Mothers of Multiples" yard sales,
You should be able to pull up dates in an area close to you through a Google search. Hope that helps!

i have 6 month old identical twin boys. i like to dress them alike too, but i cant always do that bc one of them spits up a lot so he goes through several outfits a day. i usually try to dress them similar like same outfit in diff colors or patterns i want their outfits to b equally cute. one place u can look is craigslist there r a lot of people who sell stuff labeled great for twins or whatever. also sometimes you can find stuff on freecycle or ebay

i liked 2 dress my twin boys alike wen they were smaller sometimes i would buy a pack of 2 items that were different colours and they would have 1 different colour each of the same outfit so still looked the same. that can sometimes be cheaper than buying 2 outfits

not sure if someone has already said this but i know they usually have twin groups in your area and they usually have yard sales or many different things/activities for multiples. my site i usually go to is austinareamomsofmultiples and you should be able to find things there (or whatever city you live in)

Oh yeah if you have a yahoo e-mail go to groups on there under freecycle and cheepcycle it's like a huge garage sale you post what you want to sell and ask for what you need it's really really nice. different towns have different names for them search by state - then city. also Craigslist works well too. :)

Honestly you have to go to second hand stores I have found alot of nice, name brand, and matching clothes for my boys, they grow way to fast. Or if you have any friends who have kids a little older and a little younger, I also swap clothes with a few of my friends and when we are done we swap them back and garage sale them or use them for a younger child. It saves money that way but you can't get mad if it gets recked, it's just clothing, and kids are kids and stains happen :)

In hard times there is hard measures....just face it, the economy is in the pits! So, you can always go to your church and they have clothes for the needy...just donate the ones to the church that you don't need and in exchange for "new" ones that you need now. Every little bit helps. There is also a web site called "pinchingyourpennies" check that out. I wish you best of luck.....from a mother of twins, a boy and a girl :)

Internet auctions like ebay - you can get stuff really cheap that has never been used or is as good as new.

You might want to give up the idea of dressing them alike and just try to find outfits that "blend" or match with the other...that's what I do with my girls! My husband usually dresses them in the morning and I know he wont take the time to dress them in the same outfit, so I just put the same colors together. Also check second-hand stores in your town or ebay. Good luck!
