I am having twins and I am having some trouble trying to decided what to so about the strollers. I would love to have that Peg Pergo Duett twin stroller but that is like $600! Maybe 300 I could do but then there are the car seats!! Ah...!!! Any ideas would help. I have heard of the snap and go doubles. Maybe that is what I would end up doing.

Keep them in the snap and go seats. I use the Phil n Teds mountain buggy. It is a front back type of pram. The bonus of this one, is that if you want to go out with one baby, you don't put on the extra seat!! Also it is fantasic if you are planning on more children, cause it is for one baby.

I actually have the Duett, but it's on it's third set of twins! It's great, but I'm looking at getting a side-by-side for when my twins are out of their infant seats, so I would just go for the Snap and Go, then once you have them, figure out what you want in a stroller for once they are out of the infant seats. I agree with some of the other comments not to skimp...I am out with my twins all the time, and that stroller comes everywhere! I also know so many people who tried cheap first (as twins are pricey enough with everything else!!) but ended up spending the money after anyway for a better one. Good luck with your search!

Agreed. Dont skimp on the stroller and carseats if its not easy guaranteed you will be miserable. I have the peg perego duette stroller and carseats that snap. and I absolutely am so happy I got it. i take my twins out all the time they are 2months old and i wouldnt want to if It wasnt that easy! See if you can save up for it you wont regret it than after they grow out of the carseats you can sell the whole set second hand and buy a jogger or another double stroller !!

graco snap and go double...great and not too expensive plus the car seats are relatively inexpensive also. i got lucky and found one in the trading paper with 2 infant carries for 100 dollars all together and it was in great shape. you should be able to find a deal in your area...check craigslist and the paper. they also have inexpensive side by sides (peg peregos are really expensive) at places like burlington coat factory that you can get when they are a bit older and dont need the carriers anymore. definaltey a snap and go though for the first year. good luck!!

I had graco carseats and I have the graco duo glider double stroller and both my girls carseats fit in the stroller together great and now that they are 19 months old the stroller works great for them now they sit one in front one in back and are both comfortable.

Also Burlington Coat Factory's Baby Depo gives a discount on multiple large items..like carseats, pack'n plays ect. If I remember right its a 20% discount you just have to tell them at the registar you are buying for twins.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE my Graco Duo Glider. It was perfect when our girls were in the Snugride car seats and now we use it when we go shopping. We do have a Graco IPO Side by Side and the girls love it and so do I for when we go for a walk they can both see everything.

I LOVE my Graco Duo Glider!! It is so easy to fold up and get out, very easy to push around...was not that expensive and it works with the Graco Snugride carseats. Has two canopies to shield babys from sun and wind and the basket underneath holds ALOT!

get a cheap or used snap and go or contours and then when they outgrow the carseats get a nice side by side. I struggled with the stroller issue too and finally got the Babyjogger City Mini. I really like it but you have to use their diaper bag..... I think it was about $400.

I have a graco snap and go. Perfect when they are young. older, they can sit in the stroller seats. I prefer the tandem, because the side by side does not fit easlily through aisles in the store.

When they are out of car seats, I loved the City Mini Double Stroller that we rented from www.orlandostrollerrentals.com for our Disney trip. Had the girls been younger, I would have bought this for ourselves!

As a mom who has been through 3 strollers now, I agree with Jennifer don't skimp on the stroller it will become your best frined. I had the Graco and it fell apart, not to mention putting both infant seats in it is a pain. I now have the coalcraft and I have to say I LOVE IT. It gives you the most options of any twin stroller. The babies can face each other, they can both face you, they can both face forward or they can go back to back. Its also nice becasue it takes two infant car seats. The side by sides are nice however most of them do not allow you to use two infant car seats at the same time. No matter what stroller you end up going with if you have a babys r us near you they give a 10% twin discount on major purchas for twins. Not to mention on their web page are cosumer reviews of everything they sell which i've always found very helpful. Good luck with your selection and don't let anyone talk you out of what you trully want if I handn't done that I wouldn't have gone through so many strollers already.

I agree with Cathy, while your twins are little, I'd stick with the Snap 'n Go. I had a Graco double stroller and really wish I had gotten the snap 'n go. We only used that when the boys were smaller. As they got older, we used a side by side umbrella stroller. Check out Craig's List or consignment stores too..

Bumbleride and City Jogger are great twin strollers... but they are $$$ so see if you can buy a used one!

My suggestion: don't skimp on the stroller, it will be the ONLY means for you to get out with your babies, and buy a used one! I like the side-by-side better b/c they are much easier to manuver. Also invest in a baby sling and a cheap sinle stroller, as my twin daughter loves the sling, and my son rides in the stroller!

I had twins in January and we got a snap and go. We had my mother-in-law buy us the graco car seats as a shower gift and bought the stroller ourselves. That way it cut down on the cost. Ask around friends that have side by side double strollers to let you either have it or buy it off them when they no longer need it. We had friends who no longer used their side by side and let us have it so that when the twins get bigger we can use that.
