Hi everyone, I'm 27 weeks pregnant with monoamiotic/monochroionic twins I'm actually currently inpatient. I have some slight bleeding when I've blown my nose over the past couple of weeks but today I was going to shower and my nose started bleeding very heavy the nurse came in and I blew out a quarter sized blood clot (sorry really gross) It completly freaked me out, now I'm all shaken up and freaked out I've never had a nose blled in my life but the nurse said they are common during pregnancy and air is dry here in hospital.. ackk, did this happen to anyone else?? thanks for any support.. :)

Yes, saline nasal mist and a humidifier help.

I suffered slot with nose bleeds with this pregnancy but once my twins where born it all settled down with in weeks and like you i had the odd clot proberly not as big as yours but my bleeds would last for quite awhile in the end i had to go and get my blood pressure checked when they occured but they went away in the end :)

I had terrible nosebleeds. My doctor told me I probably needed an humidifier.

Ask if you can use a humidifier. Make certain they're checking your blood pressure, and noting if it's high at all. If you can't use a humidifier, request Ayr Saline Gel to put in your nose.
