Just wondering if any of you have had "large twins". My twins are now 5 years old, but people still ask me what they weighed when they were born. i tell them that they were full term and she was 8lbs5.5 oz and he was 6lbs12oz..............people always thing I am just kidding or something that all twins are small and there is no way I had all that baby inside of me....and gave birth naturally.............so,just seeing if anyone eles has this issue?

My girls were born at 36 weeks and 4 days. My twin's weight at birth were 5.2 and 5.6 lbs. And I hear all the time that I had pretty nice sized twins.

my twins were born @ 42 weeks (yes that was the olden days when Dr. hardly induced any mom my daugthers were 4 1/2 lbs and 8lb 13 oz. The littlest twin caught up with in 5 months. They are 31 years old now and one of them is a mom now.

Wow, reading everyone else's comments makes me feel unique. I had 2 sets of twins already (before getting pregnant with another set) and they weighed: 1st set- 6lbs 5oz and 6lbs 11oz 2nd set- 7lbs and 6lbs 15oz but my third set were both breech so I had to have a C-section. The doctor's all said that the babies were measuring a little large, about 8lbs each, but no one suspected the truth. Our twins weight at birth was 10lbs, each. CRAZY!

MY BOYS WERE DELIVERIED BY C-SECTION @ 32 WEEKS DUE TO THE PLACENTA STOPPED WORKING FOR THE SMALLER BABY AND THEY WEIGHED 2 POUNDS 6 OUNCES AND 4 POUNDS 6 OUNCES....THEY WILL BE 5 ON AUGUST 16TH AND THEY WEIGH 30 AND 38 POUNDS

my twins were born at 35.5 weeks, and my son was 3 lbs, 10 oz (who is now 5'11") and my daughter was 4lbs 5 oz is now 5'6"! So birth weight definitely doesn't predetermine height!

My girls were 6lb 13oz and 7lb 3oz at 37weeks. My 7lb girl Ella was in NICU for 4 days ventilated due to immature lungs, but now at 5 1/2 y.o. they both have great sets of lungs.So whilst they were big for twins (as I was told) they were quite premature with theirbreathing and feeding. As long as they are healthy what does it matter what size they were at birth.

My twins were born at 30 weeks 1 day. My daughter was 3lb 8 oz and my son was 3lb 12 oz. They were very small until they turned 7. When they started kindergarden they were in 2t and 3t clothes. Now at the age of 9 they are at the 50 percentile for the first time ever!

My twin boys were full term for a multiple pregnancy (36 weeks gestational) and they were each 6lbs 4oz and 6lbs 6 oz. =)

my babies were big also boy/girl twins samuel was 8lb4 and paige was 6lb2 and i had them 2wks early were healthy as didnt need a thing medically and are 2 now and raising hell my lil man wears size 4 shirts as he is so broad my lil girl is like a little doll small and thin and in her right size 4 age clothing so roughly i was carryin round 16lb of baby lol

I was induced at 39 weeks. My girls were 7lbs 12 oz and 7lbs 8oz. They are turning four soon but people still ask their birth weights. I usually get a reaction of shock as well. When they were born I was the talk of the hospital - nurses came to see the "woman who had full term twins"! I had to laugh!

Our baby's were 9 wks early and had 3lbs 14oz und 4lbs. I don't even want imagine, what heavy full term weight they would have ;o) Now they are 5m 3w old and around the 13lbs, what a weight for preemies. But for me they are just perfect!

Mine where born at 37 weeks He was 7.2pound and she was 5.8, there was a lady in the hospital at the same time who had 8 puonders.... and people are always saying "wow thats big for twins" everytime i say how big they are........

my twins are 12 days old and bella weighed 5lb 8oz so tiny but shes healthy and doing very well and logan was 6lb 4oz .i was 38 weeks and 3 days i think i would of went full term if i didnt have a c sec

I went into labor at 36 1/2 weeks. Emergency c-section when baby A's placenta abrupted during labor. my girl (baby A) was 6 lb, my boy (B) was 7 lb 2oz!

My twin girls weighed 2 lbs 4 oz and 2 lbs 6 oz...born at 29 weeks. Their lungs were fully developed...thank God. Now they are 7 years old and weigh about 80 lbs. I do grow them big...

My twins were 4.3 and 4.8 lbs. Same questions. They are now 36 years old. Normal weight and normal size. I think they grow at their own rate. Don't worry about what other people think or say. Sometimes they can just be ignorant!

my twin boys where 6 weeks early and one was 4lbs14oz and the other was 4lbs13oz.. My lil guys are the babies of 5 boys. they are now 5 and one is 10lbs bigger then the other one.

wow!!! I have 41/2 yr old twins b/g they were 5lbs. and 1oz and the other was 5lbs. 13oz. I delivered at 37and 1/2 weeks. Not naturally... KUDOS to you, great job natural.

My fraternal twins will be 12 in October. Had them by c-section 3 weeks early because they were under alot of stress, no more room for them to grow. They were 6lbs 9oz & 6lbs 11oz. They told me they were big for twins and if I had went full term would have weighed alot more. We were so blessed that neither had any problems and didn't have to stay in the hospital. They were very happy and good babies.

Well let me tell you how big my twins were they are now 7 but i had a due date of Nov 9th but they were delivered by c-section on Oct 9th due to my water braking. My first born was 9lb even and second one was 7lb 15 oz. somewhere somehow my dates were off dont you think. they were only delivered by c-section due to my first one was breech.

My b/g twins were six weeks early. I was preeclamptic so they did a csection after about a month of being on bed rest. She was 3lbs 2oz and he was 4lbs 10 oz.

full term.

My twin sons are 9 now. Deven was 6 lbs 8 ozs and 18 1/2 inches. Dalton was 6 lbs 4 ozs and 18 inches. I get asked that a lot too. They were 3 weeks early and were born on my birthday so of course they were the best birthday present that I could ever ask for. :)

My girls were ten weeks early. Mattie weighed 3lbs. 10 ozs. and Megan weighed 2lbs 14ozs. They are going to be 18 years old in August and have led pretty healthty lives considering how theirs started.

My twins were pretty hefty. My first born Alex was 8 lbs and my second son was 8lbs 6 oz!!! I made it to 38 weeks--had some preterm labor at 32 weeks--cured by an overnight stay on meds--Alex was pretty ill--he had a meconium swallow and a heart murmur--he was in the nicu for 4 days and my second son Conner was in the regular nursery--I felt so guitly about going back and forth between nurseries it was difficult! Conner and I left ahead of Alex but he came home the next day and I had a 3 1/2 yr old son at home waiting--a really dificult time-but everyone is healthy now!!

My twins are 5 now. My water broke at 34 weeks. Not too bad. My baby boy was 3.1 15 1/2 inches. And my daughter was 4.12 17 inches long. I had a C section because they were both breach.

My girls were born by C-section at 37 weeks and 4 days. 1st one was 6lb 13oz and 2nd was 6lb 12oz. I was told that was good for twins.

My son was 6 lbs 11 ozs and my daughter was 6 lbs 2 ozs! God Bless you! I had C-section since my daughter was laying sideways my stomach and I was having my tubes tied. People don't understand what they haven't experienced!

I have boy/girl twins. My water broke at 37 1/2 weeks. My son, Eben, weighed 7lb 3oz. The nurse actually delivered him as the doctor was walking in. My daughter weighed 6 lb. 2oz. She came feet first. Thank goodness she was second. I pushed all of 20 minutes. I was so ready to have them. If the doctor would have induced at 36 weeks I would have taken him up on it. At one point my belly was around 54 inches all the way around. Nothing fit me I was miserable.

I had my boys last Thursday (16th July) and Samuel weighed 6lb 4oz and Aiden was 7lb 3oz. Going by peoples reactions you would think I had broken a record or something!

My girls were born at 5lb 9oz each , They were always just ounces apart weight wise through the whole pregnancy, I was three weeks early, but they were born healthy.

They are know 8 yrs. old

Mine were 6lbs. 8oz. and the other was 6lbs, 10 oz. they were boy girl twins. Mine came 3 weeks early on Labor Day. 22 hours of labor and then rushed to emergency c-section. They locked heads and started having breathing problems and heart rate started dropping.

I also have twins. Connor was 7lbs, and Keenan was 6.1 lbs, and I'm only 5'2" and my starting weight was 135. So, yes, I had a WHOLE lot of baby in there. I carried them for 38 weeks! I think it's great that you carriied them full term. I'm sure they're healthy and happy because of it.

My twin girls were born naturally two weeks early and weighed 6lbs 13oz and 5lbs 12oz!! they have just turned nine but I can remember being so big I realy couldnt see my feet le alone put on any shoes!!!!
