My girls came at 33 weeks. I started going into premature labor at 24 weeks. I was put on bedrest and meds to stop them from coming. Then it started again at 32 weeks when they put me in the hospital. At 33 weeks there was no stopping them, they were ready to come out. But everyone is different. Some people make it to 40 weeks, but most doctors induce by 38 weeks. Good luck!!!

My twins are fraternal, g/g twins. They were born at 37 weeks and 3 days. I did go into preterm labor.at 32 weeks. They we able to stop it. My doctor was sent me to the hospital, to be induced. But my labor, was starting, on its own. (I had a scheduled induction a week later, but my doctor sent me over 6 days early... Because Ella (Baby B) had slowed growing, since my previous visits.. I had them the next day, after pitocin, to keep labor progressing. Baby A, Addison, was 5 pounds 7 ounces, Baby B, Ella was 4 pounds 9 ounces... Previous they had been only 1 or 2 ounces apart. They both did great, they found two knots in Ella's cord, which explains the slower growth. Addison came home after two days, and Ella had to stay for two extra days, becuase she had a hard time maintinaing sugar in her blood.. So she needed fluids for a few days. I was very lucky, I had a relatively healthy pregnancy, and felt great... the last few weeks were more uncomfortable, but you forget it quickly after you see the end result. Congrats and good luck...

My twins came 4 weeks early. 36 weeks is full term with twins unless there are complications. Your doctor will advise you if that is the case.

Hi
I delivered my twins naturally at 34 weeks 5 days, they were going to induce me at 36 weeks because I had cholestasis which is a liver condition more common with twins basically my liver couldnt handle the hormones and the only way to get rid of it is to no longer be pregnant and if left too long it can cause still birth. I was given steroid shots in advance to help with the lungs. My twin girls spent 23 days in the NICU and are healthy little girls! Good luck, they will come when they are ready and it may be early, just prepare yourself for time spent in the NICU its hard but you will get through it!

My twins who are now 2 were born at 38 weeks, weighing in at 6lbs 2 oz and 8lbs 6oz, I was so ready for them to be born, also very thankful to have kept them in as long as I did, I to was so cranky my last few months just from being uncomfortable.
Just enjoy every minute as it goes by way to fast.!!!

mine were born via scheduled c section at 37 weeks. Twin A was transverse and no way was she going to be delivered vaginally! They were born just before Christmas ~ had it not been for the holiday and the surgery schedule, I'm sure we would have had no problem carrying them a bit further. Even at 37 weeks, both babies crashed upon delivery. Due to the weight of my belly and laying on my back, blood flow was quite restricted. Our daughter (A) came around well, but our son (B) spent 2 weeks in the NICU. They were good weights - 6lbs 1oz, and 6lbs 2oz and I did have steroid shots around 28 weeks as well... They are now 4 1/2 and perfect!

my identical boys, now nearly 5 were born at 32 weeks. weighing a tiny 1.4 and 1.7kg. they were in NICU for 4 weeks but are now great big boys, though oddly still the same weight difference. it was hard work, but so great. i even went back for more and had a single girl when the boys were 2. try to enjoy it, it will go by in a blur. SLEEP WHEN THEY SLEEP is all i can say!

My doctor informed me that his practice delivers twins at 38 wks regardless if you go into labor or not. I wondered why they would but let me tell you by the time 38 weeks rolled around I was good and ready. I did not have any contractions and was not showing signs of going into labor so I don't know how much farther I would have gone. But I had 2 girls at 38wks and 1 day weighing 6lbs and 7lbs 3oz.. I had a scheduled c-section and glad of because one of them turned out to be breach. So just take care of yourself and those babies and hopefully you will do just great.

My sister had her b/b twins at 36 weeks and one weighed a little over six pounds and one weighed a little over 7 pounds. I had my b/g twins at 33 weeks six days, my daughter weighed three pounds 12 ounces at birth, and my son weighed four pounds 10 ounces at birth. They will be two June 8th, and I am currently pregnant with their little brother.

Stay calm, relax and enjoy your pregnancy! Marvel at all the amazing things you will experience throughout the whole thing but most of all keep stress as low as possible. My twins were born at 35 weeks, 5 days due to my blood pressure, but my doctor had said that he would induce at 37 weeks. You just need to remain as calm and joyful as possible through your pregnancy! I will pray for you. You are about to start an amazing journey into motherhood of twins and it is a fantastic one indeed!!!

I had my fraternal twins (Max & Maya) at 35 weeks 5 days. Both babies were breech so it had to be c-section. I had high blood pressure and I started spilling protein in my urine--so essentially pre-eclampsia. Other than that I think my cervix could have held out for another few weeks! I was so happy not to be pregnant anymore but we spent two weeks in the NICU trying to teach them how to eat out of a bottle/breastfeed. Ended up bottle feeding. :-(

I was told that full term for twins is 36 weeks. I was like Khadijah and had one breech, so I had to have c-section as well. My doctor would have let me deliver naturally had it not been for that. My story is different, though in that I didn't have to be on bed rest for any amount of time, and my water broke 2 days before I hit 37 weeks ( which happened to be the same day that I had seen my doctor, and she said that I wasn't going in any time that week.) By the time that they got my girls out, it was barely into the next day, so they were born at 36 weeks 6 days. One was 6lbs 4.5 oz, and the other one was 5 lbs 7.6 oz.. I too was miserable for the last trimester, but I wouldn't trade it for the world! I have two very precious little girls that will be 18 months next week!

My girls are identical, they will be two in august. I was going to syracuse for doc visits along with my normal ob. I was being monitored from 20 weeks on by both. The doc in syracuse said they don't like to go back 36 weeks and my normal ob wont go before 38 so they had to comprimise, they took them at 37 weeks and 4 days, so almost 38 weeks. It depends on your doc and your pregnancy.

Mine were 38 weeks and 1 day when my water broke. I'd been on bedrest for a month before. One baby was a surprise 5 lbs 3 oz, and the other was 6 lbs, 12 oz. My girls are fraternal, so we don't know why there was the vast size difference.

First and foremost......Congratulations Rosa!!

Believe me we all know your pain here!! lol I was soooo ready by the time I got to 29 weeks!! I was huge and so uncomfortable. Not to mention I had to sleep practically sitting up from about 27 weeks!! I think I cried and whined about it my last 10 weeks of pregnancy more than anything, but I was so happy I held them in as long as I did because I wanted them to be as healthy as they possibly could. One of my babies were breeched and refused to turn around so my doctor thought it would be less stress on both babies to have a scheduled c-section. I delievered them at 38wks and 1 day and not a minute too soon. My girls weighed 7lbs14oz and 6lbs12oz!!!

Hang in there, it will be over soon. Try to savor it because it goes by so fast. The day my girls were born was (hands down) the most AMAZING day of my life!!

Best of luck!

My boys were born at 36 weeks and were perfect. My doctor said they would induce me at 37 b/c they consider that full term for twins. I was happy they came earlier and were ok because I don't think I could've lasted another day!

Hi! My twins are 8 mths old now and they came at 35 weeks (not a moment too soon!!). Im part of a twins club and a lot of women have theirs around that time too. My mother had twins as well at 32 weeks. I think it depends on your lifestyle. I developed PUPPPS rash towards the end of my pregnancy so was extremely stressed and that brought my labour on. Ive heard of twins being born at 40 weeks but my doctor said he would induce me at 38 :)
