My Dr told me up front he would give the 2nd one 5 minutes and nothing more to come out on her own....then he was going in after her. There's a lot of complications that can arise after that 5 minute mark...thankfully the little stinker came out exactly 5 minutes after her brother :) Good luck!

My twins were 18 minutes apart, and the doctor told me that was not the norm. He said they are usually closer together.

My twins who were born, vaginally at 39 and 1/2 weeks (6lbs 14oz and 7lbs 11oz were 19 minutes apart. My son who was "baby b" and also the big twin was way up high in my rib cage. They had a nurse assist with the pushing by applying pressure to help push him down into the birth canal but it was overall a very easy birth. They are almost 8 now.

My twin girls were born 5 minutes apart. But I too have heard stories of hours in between.

My twins were 8 minutes apart. Everyone has their own input and individual experience. My doctor said the first one leads the way for the second one and it usually happens quickly. I was worried about a c-section, since I had one with my first born, but I was able to deliver my twins without complications and no c-section!

my twins were 42 mins apart, scary as I was rushed in labour to capital city hospital, with hubby driving the 3 hours. My ob said he would intervene after 5 mins so being by myself waiting was HELL... I know there was approx 12 medical staff there as they were born at 32 weeks.

13 minutes apart vaginally... after Baby A came out, Baby B who had been the source of some concern due to his breech position flipped right into place in the birth canal. My husband said that once the Dr. decided that all was well after the first delivered and the 2nd was in position, he let a first year intern deliver my second so it took a little longer than perhaps necessary as he was coaching and teaching her. That never bothered me at all. I love the idea that I was some enthusiastic intern's first delivery.

I hadr to have an emergency c section and mine were only a minute apart after many weeks in the hospital and bed rest... the smaller one was born first she just wanted out ... she landed me in the hospital and on bed rest months before they were born and they were born 7 weeks premature...

I delivered vaginally and they were 4 minutes apart THANK GOD because before that I went through 2+ hours of pushing and didn't think I could do much more! Luckily they were both head down going into labor and they stayed that way, so no repositioning was necessary. Good luck, I hope things go quick for you!

My boys were born in the same minute! 19:11 (7:11pm) Damien was born first then Andrew was born 30 seconds later. Via c-section.

Mine were c-section because B was turned side ways. Well after they got me open they realized there was nothing to worry about. Our first boy was barely out and they were clamping his cord when the nurse had to "catch" our second son because he had turned and was emerging within secs

One minute apart. Elective caesarean...wish I could've had a vaginal birth but both my babes were breech.

my fraternal boys were born via c-section 2 minutes apart. it was actually pretty amazing. my doctor opened me at 8:00 a.m., Roan was born at 8:06 and Finn at 8:08, he then performed a tubal ligation and closed me up by 8:30. Amazing!

I gave birth to my girls naturally and were 19 minutes apart as Makayla (B) moved from into a transverse position and had to be repositioned head down.

Hi how are you doing ? Well, I just wanted to let you know that I myself have a set of twins. Of course, my twins are now 14 years of age, a boy and a girl. I was scared to but it was fun during the pregnancy. My twins were 21 minutes apart. The funny thing was that my daughter was born first and all contractions stopped. The doctors wanted to send me back to my room, since my contractions had stopped. I was like oh no your getting this other baby out of me. There is no way I am going to wait until he feels ready to come. That could of probably been the next day or the following week, who knows. They went ahead and popped my other water bag and he was born twenty one minutes after my daughter. Well, good luck with your babies. They are so much fun ! Lots of tired nights if there is no help....but you have your husband so enjoy your babies....

Mine were 32 minutes apart. I had mine both vaginally and my body decided to take a little rest after the first was born. It was about 15 minutes before my body started laboring again.

2 minutes. My brother and I are 10 minutes. My younger brothers are 3 minutes and my other brothers are 5 minutes (yes, my parents gave birth to 3 sets of twins)... We're a very twin-y family.
