We have g/g twins. We avoided the rhyming names and the 'names that start with the same letter' thing too. Addison & Rowan. We wanted to emphasize their own individuality, and we don't dress them alike either. We still get the "are they identical?" question, and they look nothing alike anymore. I mean one is blonde and one is brunette! open your eyes people! I feel like getting a T-shirt made that says, "yes they're twins, they're girls, and NO they're NOT identical" I've resigned myself though to the fact that most people are just stupid and stuck in their own little world. they see cute baby and don't stop to think before they open their mouths.

I wouldn't give my twins rhyming names or the same initials because #1 there were b/g and #2 they are two different people with distinct personalities. Nathan and Amira is fine for me.

When my boys were babies I got that question alot! Are they identical or fraternal, how much did they weigh?, r they boys or girls (mind you they both had Daddy's little boy outfits on)lol. Now that they are 10 I don't get the "are they twins?" that much anymore. Probably because they are fraternal.

My boys' names dont match either...Patrick and Isaiah are no where close to each other. But the question I get tired of hearing is.."are they twins?" or "are they identical?" they look alike but this is just recently. When they looked NOTHING alike people asked if they were identical...WHY

since the boys arent even out of the hospital yet, i've not been asked too many questions, but their names are William Kyle and Jason Alexander. However, we get the "did you name your kid after the actor on Seinfield?" ALL the TIME...i'm like, NO, we just pulled the name out of thin air and didnt realize it until we decided to name him that. if i would have realized it, i would have picked a different middle name.

I have g/g fraternal twins. I have never been asked that particular question. But people do ask me if I did beginning and ending of the alphabet on purpose. My daughters names are Ayelleah (pronounced eye-lee-ah) and Zoey. We actually didn't. We didn't even realize it until someone else pointed it out and how cute it was. I almost wanted to change one of their names right then!! LOL I love your kids names and just tell people to bug off.

I have b/b twins. Their names are Isaiah and Noah. I hate that question too. I think that many years ago that was the common thing to do with twins give them rhyming names. I have always thought my boys needed to have their own individuality. Plus their names are biblical names. I was unable to get pregnant naturally so I had to go through invitro. I prayed to God to bless me with one baby and I got doubly blessed! :)

rhyming wasn't for me either! i have b/g twins and their names are Ayden and Brianna. People always suggested names to me that coordinated like isaiah and isabelle or and some others that just were way to similar for me! just because they are twins doesn't mean they aren't completely different people!! it drives me nuts!

Twins run in the family so we have a tradition that the twins have the same initials. My first set is Jacob Alexander and Juliette Alexandra ( grandparents picked middle names) My second set are both family names with the same initials Christopher Ryan and Cameron Robert. My favorite questions are are they all yours (We also have a singleton)and did you use drugs ie Fertility( NO! Are you nuts Like its their Biz any way. Love the Names!!!!!

I am a teacher and so I had difficulty picking out names and I wanted names that were different and were not on the top 100 list because it's hard as a teacher when you have 2 or 3 of the same name in a classroom. My twin girls are named Caileigh and Mackenzie.

I Love my girls names.. Morghan and MaKenna.. I dunno if they rhyme but I don't care. I love the names you picked out. They get called "the twins" enough then to make their names sound the same. Their name starts with a M because I have a M thing going on in my house.. I now have a Meghan, Morghan and MaKenna.

I really like the names you chose for your twins. I am always asked my g/g twins names and I do get the "why didn't you make them rhyme" question...that's really annoying. I think its fine if people want their twins names to rhyme or start with the same letter but I wanted my girls to have their own identity - they are already going to have to share a lot and be referred to as "the twins" by people. My girls names are Madeline (Maddie) and Grace and I love them!

I got that from my aunt the whole time I was pregnant. She would go on and on saying how if she was having twins she would make their names rhyme or at least start with the same letter. and dress them up the same ... even as b/g twins.
My babies names are Rhiannon and Konnor.

i too thought of sound-a-like names,but thought leo and theo just sounded silly!!! i went with Max and Leo.very different,but fair when they come to learn to write them! they are my 7th and 8th children,and none have the same initial! i do know of other mums who have 5,6 or more,all with same initials! the mums probably didnt even like their names,but didnt want to change the theme,sad!!!

I didn't go for the rhyme either. I wanted the alliteration, Kira and Kale. But my husband wasn't having Kale for our son. So we went with Troy instead. I did like that they were both 4 letters, that makes it fun with scrapbooking.

I understand the annoying questions part, I've never been asked if my b/b twins names ryhme before, They do (Kris and Kurtis) but only because they're family names (my husbands grandfather and my great grandfather, we switched the C to a K to be original and confuse everybody..lolol) I happen to like either names that are the same or different..who really cares anyways???

not only do people ask why my b/b twins' names don't rhyme, they also ask why the names don't start with the same letter. we had cameron picked out already when we found out they were twins. i liked christian too, but i just couldn't do it. i refused to have my boys with the same initials, cd. so we ended up with cameron and jonathan. then, 5 yrs later, we found out we were having a girl. i couldn't use the c or j names. we ended up with ella. i love that all of my kids have their own unique name, and plan on keeping it up if i'm blessed with anymore babies!

I don't like the rhyming name thing for twins. i have twin girls Brianna and Cara. i think it is stupid when parents give there twins rhyming names. i also hate when people say are you girls twins. that irritates me, but i just smile and say yes they are.

great names, when i was taking my twins for a walk their stroller (a double side by side one) said Greco and someone thought oh thats cute u got their names embroirdered on your stroller!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Ugh, I think most questions that people ask about my twins are annoying! Then they throw out their opinion like we asked them. I have identical boys and their names don't rhyme, I have Gavin & Jesse. They ask if twins run in the family, if I had them naturally, if they were early... I wish I could say mind your business lol! I love it when people say "they are identical, but they look a little different and they have different personalities" Because they are two different people and they have the right to have different interests... and have the right to their own names!

Great names! I have g/g twins Morgan and Emma. I love their names too! Rhyming wasn't for me. I like the individuality as well, and my girls couldn't be any different if they tried so I am happy with my choice as well. Maybe respond with the individuality thing that Jodie said. That would end the conversation without you feeling wierd. :)

i have girk twins and their names don't ryhme! It's confusing enough without having manes that sound exactly the same plus i feel it gives them a sense of individuality!! I like your choice of names they're lovely!!
