Well since summer is right around the corner i really really want to loose weight. Here is my weight history - Pre pregnancy i was 130, the day i had my c-section i was 195, about a month after my twins were born i was down to 165, and now 17 months later i remain at 160-165. Here are some facts- I am 5'4'', i am 19, i am a stay at home mom, i don't drink or smoke, i really really love sweets and yea i know that has to go. Also unfortunately i could not breast feed so i didn't have that to help with my weight loss. My goal before i had my girls was to be 115-120, now that i am very far away from that goal my new goal is to be 125. I want this more than anything so PLEASE PLEASE help me. I need advice on how to slim down as quick as possible but not in a unhealthy way.

Just like Lisa, I swear by Weight Watchers. A few years before I got pregnant, I weighed (gulp) 160 lbs and I am 5'7.5". I went on Weight Watchers and lost 35 lbs, which was actually too much. I did it in 35 weeks. My exercise of choice was jogging. I walked or jogged everywhere for the first few months, but then discovered an amazing exercise program called The Bar Method (The Dailey Method and Physique 57 are all very similar, too); it uses a ballet barre, with small isometrics movements, 2 lb hand weights with high repetitions and small movements, plus lots of mini squats and plies using ballet positions, plus (the key) stretching those muscles you just worked to fatigue; the weight dropped off very quickly then, and I stopped jogging as much. I made a commitment to my thighs and the environment to leave my car home as much as possible. This, of course, was pre-babies and I was living in the city. San Francisco has some really heart-pounding hills to climb.

At delivery of my twins, I weight 178 lbs and in 9 months got back down to my goal of 141 (weight at conception). 9 months on, 9 months off. I don't jog any longer, but I do The Dailey Method a few times per week.

I also have a huge sweet tooth, so I just don't buy it. However, my husband does come home from CostCo with a big box of Peppermint Patties, which I cut into quarters and freeze. It takes some effort and self control to wait for that patty to thaw out enough to eat. Sometimes I forget about it and fall asleep. But that's my treat, and I enjoy nearly daily. You don't need to cut yourself off from sweets, but asking for us to help you on that one is pointless: only you can control what goes in your mouth.

I guarantee that if you watch your consumption and increase your activity level, you'll start losing and be that skinny girl you're dreaming about.

Good luck!

I am only 4'11". At conception I weighed 116. the day my girls were born I was 172. they were born in 2005.Xmas of 2008 I weighed 162.... I joined Weight Watchers in March of 09 and lost 30 pounds in about 5 months..I now weigh 125 and seem to be comfy at this weight...I swear by Weight Watchers..It is safe and EASY and I still eat all the foods I did before..including junk food..LOL Portion size is KEY!! Weight Loss is different for everyone ..I just found that this really helped me ALOT! Before I decided to get pregnant I was a jockey and weighed 110...If I knew then what I know now about weight loss and staying healthy I would have weighed 100!!! LOL Good Luck to you! Hope this helped a little!!

I am 5' 7" and weighed 152 at conception with my twins, I weighed 224lbs at 38 weeks, and 9 months post partum, I weigh 143lbs. I DID breastfeed, so I think a lot of it is due to that, BUT, I really started to see my body get back into shape whem I started doing yoga (30 minutes, 2 X week) and lifting weights (2 X week) and getting out with the babies and strolling them for 1 - 2 miles a couple of times per week. Fro breakfast, I almost always eat eggs: I seperate the yolks from the whites, I use 3, I scramble the yolks for my twins to eat, then make myself an egg white omlet with black coffee. I snack throughout the day and eat dinner with my hubby, but I almost ALWAYS cook. I don't watch my calories in the evening, but I do watch my portion size. I'm determined to get into bikini shape by May, we are going to the beach. Don't let the sweets into your home! My hubby has a BIG TIME sweet tooth, and I just don't let him bring any sweets home. Good luck!
