is 10 months a good age to start giving ur babies table food?

my twins are 10 months and they eat small peices of food like cheerios and those little crunchies from the store. Does that mean i can take them off baby food and just give them table food? Any advice will help

thanks for the advice. one of my girls loves the real food and eats it very well on her own but on the other hand her sister just plays with it. its so funny to watch. :=)

My twins are 10 1/2 months and have been very independant eaters. I have made all of their food and they like to feed themselved so often I cut up ham, chicken, cheese, fruit and veggies into little chunks and put it on their tray for them to eat. I think it depends on the child though because my sister has a daughter that is 15 months and still eating baby food. Whatever you and the babies are ready for...
