I have almost 3 year old ivf g/b twins. I had a ok pregnancy. A lot of pain due to the size l got. I carried till 38 weeks. Had a c-section. Baby A was 7.3 pounds and baby B was 8 pounds. C- section was the easy part. I found it hard to recover from. It took 6 months before I felt alot better. I have heard good and bad stories of both natural and c-sections. Everyone if different. I do think if you already had small children that natural is the way to go if you can. C-sections can take a lot to get over.

I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old (both girls) and am 12 weeks pregnant with twins. I am excited...and very nervous about having two newborns, a toddler and a preschooler! Yikes! I am finally getting out of the 'fog' of the first trimester. I was exhausted constantly and very queasy all the time. I, too, am nervous about the birth. I do not want a c section because recovering from that will be challenging with so many kids in the house. It's comforting to read about these stories. Thanks ladies!

I had a reasonably easy pregnancy. the worse thing i had wos heart burn and near the end i found it difficult to breath. i think it was because im about 5ft 5" and weigh about 7st that why it was hard for me as i was MASSIVE. I got my labour started of for me 11 days before my due date and i had my twins 10 days before my due date. I found labour very difficult (although they were my first and didnt know any different). I had 2 epidurals, the first 1 leaked thats why i had another 1, but then that leaked, so i got a spinal and was taken into theater and my first baby was born using forceps and my 2nd was basically pull out by her legs. lol. After i had them my heart rate went down quite low and i had 2 go for heart scans. But thats just my bad health. Everyones labour is different. Ill keep my fingers cross that your goes smoothly for you! Good luck and i wish you well with your twins (mine are now 2 and are driving me insane, lol, but i wouldnt change them for the world). xx

Hi there! I have a set of Fraternal Twin Girls Hailey Nicole and Kailey Cheyenne, they are 2 1/2 years old. I never actually had labor I had to have a c-section at 34 weeks because I had pre-eclampsia and severe edemia...I have heard that labor is the same as being pregnant with one baby but I have heard that its just easier to have a c-section because sometimes when you deliver the first baby the other baby will flip and you can lay in labor longer until the baby decides to become head down again... I had always planned on having a c-section with my twins because I didn't want to have to go through the wait if something like that did happen. I had Hailey and Kailey when I was 23 and they were my first so I really don't have any first hand experience on a single birth. However, I wish you the best of luck and if you ever need or want to talk just message me

Yep, my lil boy was supposed to be first cuz he was bigger, and he was actually all in position to come first. My lil girl was transverse, but the doctor was confident that if my lil boy came out first that she would be able to turn her right and bring her on out...we just had no idea just how stubborn my lil girl was until that day! LOL She was determined to be the big sister! So, after being in labor for 11 hours, and then pushing for an hour they decided to take me on to c-section because my lil girl wouldn't let my son come on down. Once we got into c-section that lil booger still got to be the big sister cuz they brought her out first..haha! But in a matter of seconds I got to see my lil angels' faces. She's STILL stubborn to this day!! LOL

I have heard that having twins vaginally is actually EASIER because the babies are usually smaller, but be prepared for a c section if they are breech. CONGRATS!!!

I have 6 1/2 month old twins, and each day is something new! They were my first, so I also don't know much about having a singleton birth. I had a wonderful pregnancy...didn't even have much sickness at all until near the end. I only gained like 27 lbs the whole pregnancy, and worked the whole time. I was actually taken out of work about 3 days before they were born due to high blood pressure, but that day was the very first day I had that problem. I was so upset about being bound to the house for a few more weeks, but actually 3 days later I had to be admitted because of a terrible headache that wouldn't go away, and turned out my blood pressure was 210/100. They had to enduce labor, and my sweet little girl was so determined to come out first that she was pushing my son out of her way! LOL They ended up having to take me to c-section, and then I had to stay at the hospital for 5 days because of pre-eclampsia, swollen legs, hands, and face, and high blood pressure. Once they gave me a blood pressure pill though all the swelling fell from me, and I felt great. Being a mom of twins is so rewarding! Plus my babies have been sleeping through the night since 6 weeks old! They comfort each other and have each other to entertain while I am trying to clean and that sort of thing. Congrats on your twins! Cherish each moment of your pregnancy cuz it goes by so fast! Good luck!

Hi! I have a 3 yr old and identical twin girls who are 15mths(bryleigh&chloey). I wouldnt say you can exactly expect anything from labor because every situation is different but for me it was not fun!! I had my girls naturally and bryleigh was breech so they had to pull her out by her feet! ouch..not 2 mention my epidural only worked on my right side so i felt EVERYTHING on my left. I would recommend if one of your babys is breech go ahead and have a c section because they thought she might turn around(she was baby b) but she didnt. I mean i could do it again it wasnt 2 bad(kind of) but its not really safe for the baby to be pulled out like that and can cause more serious problems. My girls were healthy tho and weighed 4.12 and 4.5 and came home with me! Now i wont tell you its easy with them and my older one(also a girl..makinzie) but its gotten better. The first year is the toughest when they cant do anything for themselves but its a lil easier now...theyre not on a bottle or formula, hold a cup, talk a little, and walk. I would say now my 3 yr old is more difficult to handle than them because she gets jealous occasionally and wants to act like a baby(such as sit in their highchair) and all the normal 3 yr old issues. Just hope ur twins are good babys cuz mine were....slept all night at about 3 mths(still do) and are generally happy babys. The only problem we are having now is them throwing temper tantrums!! which we are currently working on..but anyways..good luck and dont worry too much..you will make it cuz you kno you have 2!!

hi i have non identical twins girls called amy and katie who are 3 mnths old, i had them via c section as amy was twin one and she was breech, had she been head down i could have had a normal birth!
i wont say it is easy! i also have a little girl who is nearly 3 and she gets quite jelous and plays up for attention, i have tried involving her as much as i can! she is better than she was when they first came home though! i would say the first six weeks was the hardest with the twins, was so tired! u definatly need as much help as you can get, but if you manage those 6 weeks or so then it does get easier! at the moment i find the 3 year old harder than the twins! lol! good luck to you and you will manage just take any help that is offered to you in the early weeks! dont be scared of the labour apparantly my friend had her twins naturally and they gave her an epidural incase they had to turn the second twin, so if you can i would opt for that! also once the first twin is out i belive the second twin comes out quickly! my friend had a gap of 20 minutes between twins because they had to turn the second twin! if you have a section its very quick but you are bit sore afterwards! go with what the doctors suggest as whatever is the safest way for your babies to be born! now the twins are starting to do more things and i am not as tired i am really enjoying them, im so proud and so will you be! good luck again! x
