How are you determining that your milk doesn't fill them up? Is it because they nurse often? If so that is completely normal. I think the issue isn't your milk but that they are used to the bottle.

If you want to breastfeed the best thing to do is to nurse more often. The more you nurse the more you will make. Supplementing with bottles can interfere with production because your body doesn't get that signal to make more milk.

One of my boys had reflux as well, definitely see if they have reflux..

Try lots of skin to skin with them. That might help them latch back on to the breast.

Have you tried pumping? You may be producing less because they are taking less from the breast. At least if you pump you could put your milk in bottles or mix it with formula. Formula is very expensive! My insurance paid for ours because of the reflux issues. Signs of reflux in newborns is crying, spitting up a lot and back arching. I actually used to be able to hear the fluids coming back up with my smaller twin. Then he would scream because it hurt. If you've ever had heartburn then you can imagine what that would feel like for an infant. Broke my heart!

girls i feed them formula from a bottle as my milk just doesnt fill them up but i would still love them to have mor of mine and also money is tight so buying formula is really hard as im going through a 300g box in 2days we are butying in bulk but they getting older so are wanting more i would be happy if they would take mine just 1 time a day just to get the vitamins as they have both been ill and dr told me breastfeed but this was b4 they started to refuse it. i will definately talk to dr. about it next time we see them. how do you tell if it is reflux or just bad belly.

Have you given them a bottle in the past? If so, it could be nipple preference-they prefer the bottle than the breast because the bottle is easier.

Also, if they scream after every feeding, watch out for signs of reflux. My boys started screaming after and during feedings between 2-3 months old. They were totally formula fed, but we had to switch to special formula and they got better. It's heartbreaking to hear your baby cry and.not know what's wrong when you feel you've done everything right, hang in there!

Do they drink your milk from a bottle? Or are you giving them formula? It's unclear the way you worded it. But, every mom wants a happy healthy baby. If I were you I would talk to you pediatrician and a lactation specialist. I cannot give you a reason why. Maybe they are getting frustrated from breast feeding because bottles are so much easier. They could just want a more instant gratification from the bottle? Whatever the case never feel like there us anything wrong with you. Whatever happens, the most important part is your babies nutrition. I wasn't able to breast feed, it was very hard to give up trying. But definitely talk to your doctor.
