I went into labor 2 months early. So I spent a whole month at the hospital before even having them. So many things can happen during pregnancy. You should get everything ready early!

I was induced at 37 weeks, the doctors didn't think I would go to term but once I got that far they said it wasn't a good idea to go to my due date with twins. You never know with twins. I gave birth naturally to 2 boys. After baby A was born baby B flipped over and was delivered breech.They both we able to come home with us from the hospital. Our bodies are alot stronger than most doctors give us credit for, but sometimes babies are ready before their time, so be prepared and enjoy every moment of your twin pregnancy it is for most people a once in a lifetime experience.

Well thanks for all the encouragement ladies! I found out im not going to be able to deliver vaginally because of the position of the placenta so ive got a csection planned in december. Im not happy about it but i know its best for the boys

I had my twins at 37 weeks 3 days. I was scheduled to be induced at 38 weeks and my boys decided they were going to come on their own time. My water broke at 2:45am and my boys were born naturally at 12:28pm & 12:34pm. Baby A 6lbs 2oz and Baby B 5lbs. They were both healthy and went home 2 days later. I had everything packed weeks in advance, just in case. My doctor had told me she didn't think I would make it past 34 weeks, but I held out :) Good Luck!

I went 37 weeks! My girls weighed 8 and 7 lbs!!! Good luck to you! I worked all the way up to 34 weeks! Great pregnancy and finally cried to my doc at 36 weeks. She told me to hang in there because those last few weeks is when they really gain some weight!

c/section for breach presentation at 38 weeks....I'm so happy to hear so many of you went full term! That's awesome. So, sure get stuff ready but don't "plan" on going early because many people go full term. I thought it made it harder at the end because there was so much emphasis on possibly going early that I sort of thought I would so I wasn't as mentally prepared for going full term. It's REALLY uncomfortable and tough the last 5-6 weeks. Best of luck!

Not to scare you but I did have a lot of complications going into preterm labor with my twins. First at 20 weeks, then at 32 weeks, and at 34 weeks. But the good news is that I was able to "hold them in" until right at 37 weeks. They were both fine and healthy and we couldn't be happier... or blessed!!!

It's always good to be prepared, just in case. Hopefully you have a lot of people around you that can help. That's what helped me out so much. My in-laws were a blessing when I had to go on bedrest due to preterm labor complications. They were also wonderful in helping out after the twins' births.

I was 35 weeks exactly. My water broke in my sleep (Its not nice to wake up wet LOL). 32 hours later I delivered them I thought it was a horrible birth but my 4th Childs birth was shorter but worse by 100x. I think its just better to expect the worst with twins so that if something does happen at least your prepared. I got everything ready from about 28 weeks just in case they came early.

The first time I went into labor was at 32 weeks, the Docs were able to stop it, and I went on bed rest, they stopped it 2 more times before I finally had them at 35 weeks.

i had my twin boys at 32 weeks and i ended up having emergency caesarean. the boys just stopper moving in my tummy, i had somethings ready, but going into hospital suddenly i wasnt that prepared. my partner sorted evrything out! my boys were poorly, they had breathing problems, first they were put onto ventillators and then on c-pap. it was a scary time. they got better but very slowly!! daniel came home at 4weeks and oliver came out at 7weeks but there doing fine now!! hope everything goes ok for u!! take care kirsty xxx

well i am 35 1/2 weeks pregnant with twin boys and my due date is middle of November and they said that i can go in to labor anytime now. but yes i would just be ready just in case.

I had a scheduled cesarean at 38 weeks and 4 days on June 15, 2007. My fraternal twin boys were 7 lbs 6 oz at 20 1/2 in. for A and 6 lbs 5 oz 19 3/4 in for B. They were born one minute apart, both were perfectly healthy, and we went home 2 days later. I was not dilated and my cervix had not thinned at all, so I was showing no signs of labor. I had a trouble free pregnancy and a trouble free c-section and recovery. Hope things go just as well for you. Congratulations and good luck!

My boys were born at 34 weeks and 3 days (May 21st) I had an early morning doc. appt that day and was planning on going back to work afterwards. During the appt. she checked to see if I was dilated any, I was, and afterwards she wanted to monitor me to see how they were doing. They put the monitor on my belly and we were surprised to see that my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. I just wasn't feeling them yet. I was then sent of the hospital to be monitored and after a few hours I was at 4 cm. so I was kept. I delivered in an OR room just in case I would need a C-section and that was an experience. It's really hard to push when you are coming up from a flat OR table. So keep this in mind if you end up delivering in the OR. My arms were so sore the next day from pulling myself up. I didn't even think to ask the nurse or hubby for help. I was a bit groggy. :) I didn't need the c-section in the end. Owyn was born first and 10 minutes later Gavin was born. They were both put into incubators and sent off to the NICU. I was able to hold them both for about a minute right after they were born.

They spent 3 weeks in the NICU for feeding and temp. issues. Owyn had to have air flow but otherwise they were fine. They were both good sizes for being born early. Owyn was 5lbs 9 oz. and Gavin was 4 lbs 13 oz.

I did have everything ready way in advance as well. It's always good to be prepared. Good Luck!!!!

my twins were induced at 38weeks because i was so uncomfortable by then they were both a healthy weight and we all went home the next day!! I think they would have held on for another week had they had the chance lol! I had most things sorted but i must admit i was a little disorganised with all the stuff being at other peoples houses so hubby had alot of running around to do before i came home lol!!

I was induced at 38 weeks b/c I started to get some swelling in my feet. When I got to the hospital for my induction, I was already in labor myself and didn't even know it. It was still a long process, but everything worked out well. I was so thankful that I didn't need to have a C-section. It was a very easy recovery, too. I think the key is to stay as active as you can. I was lucky and didn't have any complications. I worked right up until the very end.

I was one of the lucky ones that made it to 39wks 4days. My waters broke and both boys were born a little over 3hrs later, naturally. I did have everything ready in advance though. I had even put up my Christmas decorations the first week of Nov. My due date was the 29th. My twin B Gabriel was having troubles breathing when he was born and was sent to the NICU for 3 days. Other than that, amazingly they are both healthy, big boys! Time goes so fast, they will be one next month!
