I was pregnant with twins and lost one of them in early pregnancy almost 2 years ago. I was just hoping to hear some stories of moms who have lost a twin/twins and ended up having a successful set or more later on in life.

Your dad can carry the gene for for hyperovulation (fraternal twins) and could have passed it to you, it's just that your husband's side doesn't matter.

I would say they do but it's on my dads side. I know a lot of people say it's only from you mom's side but it doesn't make any sense to me.

I ended up losing both babies early (9 wks) and was wondering the same thing ... We just decided to start trying again ... Does twins run in your family?

I'm guessing that the twin I lost with my daughter were di/di twins because I could see the separate sac. My twin boys are di/di and fraternal.

Yup, that was me. My daughter started out as a twin but I lost the twin pretty early. I got pregnant with another set when she was about 3. It was a total shock because the last thing on my mind was twins!
