My daughter also had reflux. She had it so bad she would almost always spit back up her whole bottle. We had to put her on soy and try to keep her in a sitting position. She also was hard to get to burp.Once she was able to sit on her own it went away. If you are still concerned about it, definitely talk to your pediatrician, and if they do not want to do anything about it, seek another opinion.

But he can burp? There are a few different issues that mimic reflux symptoms but aren't and they can't be treated the same way. If they haven't yet, I'd push for them to confirm it is indeed reflux and how bad of a case it is and go from there.
My elder twin had horrible reflux, mostly of the silent type. Chocking, gaging, stuff coming out her nose, the whole bit. They gave her an upper GI when she was about 4 1/2 months old to see exactly what was going on.
As for not burping, I'm not sure how to make them do that. Elaine wasn't always the easiest to burp, but she would.
