My twin daughters are 9 months old and both weigh over 20lbs. I would really like to take them out of the carrier car seats and put them into the bigger ones, but don't know what I will do with them when I go to the store, where will I put them. Right now I put both carriers in 1 cart and that works good, but those carriers are just getting so heavy. Will I just have to take the dbl stroller everywhere. I need some suggestions!

I was just thinking of what to do with mine too. They are 1 yo and can stand now so the basket is not an option now. I was just going to put them in the stroller and push that and pull the shopping cart behind me. I will probably look like an idiot but who cares I gotta do what I gotta do.

i used the double stroller. it had a huge basket. also, the carts at Costo have two seats. :) or a front carrier and a single grocery cart. but never two infant carseats...yikes, what are you doing to your arms/back with all that weight?
anywho's, hope you find a new system that works for you.

When my boys were that age, I'd put one in my Beco carrier and one in the carseat. When they got older, I was able to continue using my Beco and put one sitting in the front part of the cart.

Another friend of mine with twins, would put bumbo seats in the cart and put them in back part of the cart.

I used a front carrier or backpack for one of the babies and one in their carrier in the cart. At about a year you will be able to start putting one of them atleast in the grocery cart, as they will be able to sit better. You can buy one of those cloth cart covers to keep their mouth and hands of the actual cart.

I used our double stroller for awhile but now our girls are 11 1/2 months and they like to sit in the buggy, whether its the seat or in the actual cart. Sometimes I push one buggy and pull the other if they are in their seats. They love to be in the actual cart part and play with their toys and eachother. I started doing my grocery shopping at Kroger because they have a double cart which is great.
