Any advice would be great, I have two year old girls that will no longer leave their diapers on wether i duct tape them or not but yet they dont want to potty train, what do i do? I am desperate it seems that every time i turn around they are going all over their bedroom floor or all over the toy room floor and i can only keep up with so much. I have tried the potty thing every hour on the hour but it seems as if i spend all day in the bathroom and then as soon as they are done trying after fifteen minutes of sitting they run off and go all over their floor. I have also tried sitting them down with coloring books, books, and even popsicles to see if they would sit still but they tend to do acrobats off the potty. I NEED HELP!!!

my girls are 21 months and doing the same thing.. I know your pain,Mine have never painted with theirs, as they will yell for me to come instead of picking it up.they will sit on the potty but they still have not gone in it.I am taking things slow with them when they are truly ready they will let you know.As for not keeping the diapers on, let them run around naked for a lil while and they will be so happy that you let them do it that they will be more willing to put the diaper back on

My twins are 2 as well and doing the same thing so I cut them off of drinks before bed time around 7pm and had them sit on the potty before we went to bed around 9:30and put regular underwear on them to see if it would help. I have to say they both woke up dry and I put them on the potty again around 7:30 am, They like to go naked but if they have big boy unders on they will leave them on and not take them off during the day and I also put training plastic pants over top in case they do have an accident so far it is working. I think they want to grow up and be like the rest, the independant stage. Good Luck hopefully this will help a little, ohh and they haven't gone poop in the potty yet but it will come so what is a little more laundry lol.

I am also going through this issue but with my son. When I am nursing my twins or putting them down seems to be the best time to remove the diaper. I've tried the PJ trick (I found feety PJs that have feets that fold to close or unfold to open so I can put them on backwards. Now that its warmer my trick is going to have to end? Any advice there?) I have tried to tell him that he needs to sit on the potty when he takes off the diaper but with twins to destract me.... I clean the floor alot. Yet another issue is when I do get him on the potty he plays with himself and pees on the potty but not in. What to do?!?!

Get one piece outfits Like p.j.'s and put them on backwards. Some kind of summer time sleeper or something that zips up. That is what I did for a while. They end up forgetting about it after a while. Or until the get clever enough to let eachother out of their clothes...

i feel your pain! i have twin girls too. try putting panites on during the day with a charactor they like like dora the explorer and every 30 minutes try to make them use the potty. if they make pee pee in their panites, just say ucky....dora don't like pee/poop ion here...eew ucky panites, after a few times, they will hate the feeling and realy start paying attention to when it's time to go potty. as for nite time, i used pull ups, but called them princess pants. it's not as hard as it seems, trust me, my twins were potty trained completely in 2 weeks

my twin girls are two as well, well our friend said tape works good to keep the diper on, and at nap time i make them help me clean up all the toys and after they help me i give them a smarty, so now that they know that they get a smarty for doing good things, i have started to give them a smarty when they go pee on the potty, but i put them on the potty first thing in the mornig if there diper is dry, then i know they will go on the potty

been there, honey, my boys are 6 yrs old now. boy did i almost need to be hospitalized. at least once a week, i would wake up to poop painted walls. i tried everything. backwards diapers-they would take each others' off, duck tape-teamwork and tearing, alot of tearing, pull-ups-pull them down or tear them off. i thought it would never end. i ended up with some of those plastic pants, they look like undies, but they go over cloth diapers, anyways, for some reason, they didn't mess with them. they were easier to pull off than anything else i tried. go figure. they 'painted' from about 15 mos, till they were almost 2 yrs. they didn't potty train until they were almost 4. i thought i was going to have to send them to school in pull-ups! it was a phase, that almost drove me insane. i'm glad i can laugh about it now, it wasn't funny back then. having twins is such an adventure, enjoy it as best as you can! before too long they'll start plotting against you... mine love to try to confuse me. they switch on their teachers at school and they work together to drive me insane. but i wouldn't have it any other way. some may say double trouble, but i couldn't live without them! good luck and know that it will pass, but something else will definately replace it!

I have been through it myself. I swear I thought I was going to lose my freakin' mind! Nothing worked! He finally just got over it. It was a phase that passed. He's 4 months away from being 3 and still will not potty train.

You're wrapping a piece of duct tape all the way around the diaper, like a belt, and they're still getting the diaper off? how? watching their technique may give you an idea about how to foil them. There are 2 of them, but you're a lot smarter than they are. Good luck!

Duct tape. Worked for my twins when they started removing diapers at 15 months. Ahh the room of poop. They did this stunt when I had a super stressed out mom of 3 week old twins over for a visit. All I could do was laugh because if I cried when they painted their room in poop I think she might have lost it.

You can put their diapers on backwards and use duct tape too.

It sounds like the girls aren't quite ready to potty train. When I started to train my boys at 23 months I tried the doing it in a day or two thing. I went nuts after a couple hours. So I tried to put them on the potty when I noticed signs. Everytime we went somewhere we'd try using the potty at the mall or bookstore, wherever. Even if they didn't go, I think it helped get them used to going somewhere other than home. One of my twins was all done by 2 1/2 day and night, poop and pee. The other one took till 3. My oldest son was all done by 3, but we also had daycare to help train him. The twins have always been home with me.

Watch for signs they are ready and then try, but maybe not push it and maybe do one at a time if you think one is ready. The other one will follow - eventually.

Wow...i think that it is a 2 year old thing..my b/g twins are doing it to...it is very frustrating..we just let them go without their diapers for a bit then tell them that they can have their favorite shirt on if they will keep the diaper on...i know it is not the best thing to brib them but that is what is working for now..lol Good Luck!!

Can't say that I have any advice for you since we are going throught the same thing. Just thought I would support you in how very frustrating it can be. We have 2 year old boys and thier room smells like a urinal...YUK!! We also duck tape thier diapers at nap and night. This seems to help but I believe that this defeats the purpose of potty training. What helps them is that the boys LOVE to wash thier hands, so they really look forward to coming to tell us they have to go to the potty. They have yet to do number 2 on the potty. So I can totally relate to your pain! I guess what we can be sure of is that they will not stay this way forever, we just need to be patient. Easy said than done, right?
