I have 2 1/2 girl/boy twins I just recently bought the potty chair and the pull-ups. I figured I will need more than one potty chair (right now is it just a game to play with tp paper and flush) however with it being warm my daughter will go butt naked around the house and as long as this happens she is about 80 percent potty trained- she will run and use her little potty then take out the insert (I'm right there helping) and dump in the toilet get herself toilet paper and flush. However it all goes out the window as soon as I put pants on her (she will not wear pull-ups and actually still prefers diapers but I have even tried regular panties - she has to be naked (from the bottom) down in order to attempt the potty. My son clearly is not ready cause he does not get the concept- he loves the word and the idea but still no idea. Any idea how to get them both on the same page (my son seems to distract my daughter). These are my first kids so first experience with the potty training! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have 5yo b/g twins and she was about 6mos ahead of him in potty training, and in my experience with my other singletons that is typical for girls to be ready b4 boys(my girls were usually 2 and boys were 3). With the twins she was about 2 1/2,he was 3.

My g/b twins will be 2.5 in 1 month. We have had their potty chairs for awhile(like 9mos or more) & they use them when they want. They can also get up on the big potty & use it, too.

My daughter seems readier than my son but I am not pushing it for fear that she will regress. I am waiting for a 3 day weekend so we can do undies & see how she does. Unfortunately, that may not be until Thanksgiving but we may see if we can do it in 2 days because she is showing more signs of being ready. I am getting excited that I will only have one in diapers. But neither will poop on the potty so we'll see how that goes.

I have twin 3yr old girls they are so different in the mannor they look at potty training i haven't stressed too much as they are slower than my other kids they were all trained before 2 but the twins just aren't happy at all about the potty they have days where they use them and days were they just refuse. I am going to get tough during summer how do you regulate them to a routine just incase i need to.

My twins are 5 now. Allison was all about the potty chair. Tyler had less than no interest. However, he liked using the big potty. Allison was quick but Tyler not so much. We finally bought him 'CARS' underwear but only 3 pair. If he wet all 3 then back to boring diaphers or pull ups. (We quite buying the fancy ones he liked wearing.) He got there and so will yours. Hang in there.

well my twins turned 3 on may 31st. and in the beging of may my son got the idea! he was outside palying in the pool had to pee so i told him to pee on the fence. he did thought it was cool and he has never had an accident yet! the first week he kept trying to go outside to pee on the fence. but that ended about as fast as it started lol. now my daughter is slow. litterally. she is in lots of therapys. wel anyways we try and try with her no luck. she will sit on the potty never anything. i think i got her to go 2 times as soon as she wakes up in the morn and thats it. i wish i could get her on the same page as her brother. i really dotn have any advice but figured i would share my experience with you.. hey let him try the fence. boys love to "write there name on the fence"

I have boy and girl preemie (3 months early) twins they are1 and I start potty training my daughter on the regular toilet with the special seat at 6 months was very easy because she use to go at the same time, right now they just pee in the diaper, and my son I start when he was 9 months and he did it right away I read to them on the washroom and talk to them then when they finish I show them the poo and tell them say bye bye poopis and they find it funny, after I wash their hand and they love to play with the soap, I guess not everybody start that early but I read the early you do it the easier it is, Anyway do it fun for them and boys always take longer, but for me I think the best way is do it like a game then make like a big deal when they go, they love the attention and good luck!

Keep working with your daughter...she's almost there!! Have you let her try picking out her big girl panties at the store? That's what finally tipped the scales in my favor with my girl.

My son wasn't potty trained until almost 4 yo. Don't push it. Once he sees what's going on with sis, he'll either buck up and try or you'll know he's still not ready.

Good Luck.

I have b/g twins that are now 5. My daughter potty trained at 2 1/2 and my son did not really get it till he was over 3. Pushing it will not make it happen any sooner, it was good to have my daughter do it, but she actually asked me if she could wear big girl undies and that was how we got started. Boys do just take longer, good luck.

I as well have boy/girl twins that will be 3 here in a few days. They both where potty trained around age two.I started out trying to potty train both at the same time, when I realized my son was ready I worked with him first. I also bought the little potty chairs and i really had no luck with them so I bought potty seats. My twins seemed to like those better. Also I never had any luck with those pull-ups. I bought my twins those Gerber Training underpants with the plastic covers and that seemed to progress them along. Especailly because they didn't like feeling wet when they had an accident. Good luck! I know that potty training two can be tough.
