pregnancy pillow.. is it worth buying???

It worked for me until about 24 weeks. By then, I was so big nothing was going to help!!

Ugh I tried to just use a pillow under my belly and between my legs but they would move around at night. Also I would find myself on my back after the doc told me to stop sleeping on my back. So I bought a Snoogle. OMG it was a lifesaver. I still remember thinking "why didn't I do this earlier?". It was totally worth the money. I'm using it again with my current pregnancy and I started using it as soon as sleeping became uncomfortable (around 18 weeks) and it has done wonders. Plus it takes up less room in the bed (we have a queen) so my hubby can still stretch out a bit :)

i bought the pregnancy wedge and it helped so much! As far as the full body pillow...it wasnt for me but I dont like sleeping with alot of pillows. My suggestion would be to just see what works best for YOU. But remember...carrying twins gets harder the further along you become.

Yes! This pillow saved my life. I started using mine at about 16 weeks. It was well worth it!

I bought a long regular body pillow (not a pregnancy pillow) and I loved it through my pregnancy! It made it more comfortable at night! Its worth buying, just shop around for one that isn't too expensive. Good luck!

Yes they are worth it! Especially in later pregnancy. Also, the most comfortable sleeping position for a pregnant woman is the laying down relaxation pose from the Bradley childbirth books, wish I known about it in my first 2 pregnancies.

I would not have been able to sleep the entire time I was pregnant with both my singleton daughter and my twin boys without my Snoogle pregnancy pillow! I loved it, it curved up under my head at the top, and another curve at the bottom went between my knees. It's sort of an elongated "C" shape, it was perfect! It was kind of expensive, about $50 five years ago, but it was sooooo worth it! Happy twins! :)

Personally I found it both great and not so great. The great part was that it supported my back and belly and it helped to alleviate some ache. The not so great part about having it is the barrier it creates between you and your spouse at night. My husband resented it because there was no cuddling time. It became a wall of division as it's wrapped around my backside. He understood I needed it of course : )

I loved mine!!!! It helped a lot. I Would highly reccomed one.The semi-circle nursing pillows are great for use while sleeping also. My hugh stomach fit just right!

i was HUGE at 3 months with my twins who are now 3. i just used a firm/medium normal pillow and as said below later on one of those triangle pillows, i guess it depends on the person but it did help me alot! i was at the stage of no sleep at all from aches and pains and the weight of my belly pulling to the one side. in the end i had 2 get my husband 2 lift my huge belly onto the pillows at night but it DEFINATELY! helped very much, id just give it all a go til u find something thats comfortable for u. i know i tried a few different things i hope this helped and BEST OF LUCK to u, ur family and ur beautiful new additions!!! the only other thing i can say is what people have told me after i'd had my twins- it was (LOL) if u can survive the 1st 6months after u bring them home u can tackle ANYTHING!!!! xxxxxx best wishes- kristy, samuel & Paige (TWINS) and Madison (my single child) xxx

I would try an inexpensive "body pillow" first. The specialty shops are so much more expensive!

The pregnancy pillows ARE expensive... I had a gf who was carrying one baby and she loved it, couldn't sleep without it... I was pregnant with twins and found that a regular body pillow worked for me for the lower back pain...Lol unfortunately it didn't help the heartburn though! Good luck in finding something to help you get a good night's sleep :)

I'm not too sure of the kind of pillow your refering to, but i would definitely recommend investing in the V shaped pillows, These i found were great not only for supporting me during pregnancy but also very very handy to elevate my babies whilst i was breatsfeeding them together, be it on my bed of on the sofa, i would certainly say they made my baby days with My Twins more managable, Good Luck and sleep when your babies sleep, vital advice xxx

When I was pregnant with my twins I just used a regular body pillow. They are two now, but when I was pregnant with their little brother ( four months today) I got one of those pregnancy boppy pillows and that worked wonders for me. I was more uncomfortable with my singleton than with my twins lol.

It was great for me 20 years ago. I have made several sets for friend that have been pregnant with twins. the pregnancy pillows save your Hips later on in the pregnancy I also have a reg. pillow for between my legs. I was 32 then and I am so glad I did. God Bless you and your family. Polly

I didn't find the "big" pillows as useful as the little "belly wedge" by Boppy. It's a small pillow that just fits under your tummy when you are laying on your side. It's helps to prevent your back from really hurting. I found the big pillows too big and that they made me too hot.

My husband got me three large king size pillows. I put one between my legs, one under my tummy and one behind me. This worked wonders up until I was about 7 months along then nothing really seemed to work because no position I slept in was comfortable. I think I sleept sitting up in bed for the last two months of pregnancy. I managed though!

thanks.. ive been using a regular body pillow but it just isnt doing the trick and the ones that are specifically for pregnancy are specially shaped and extremely long so i think i will be picking one up tomorrow.. thank you ladies for your advice!!

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES....they are a God sent because the farther along you get the more uncomfortable you are going to be...they will help! Congratulations on the twins, mine are 16 months and along with my other two children they are the love of my life. Also the body pillows will work.....you have to be creative!

my husband bought me a regular body pillow I think it was called. Or maybe it was just a king sized pillow. Anyway it was really long and I used it to put between my legs at night it helped a ton! I have never heard of a pregnancy pillow though... He just got it at Wal-Mart

hi I had a triangle pillow one bit under my tummy one bit between my legs...............ended up getting cramp because my body was not aligned properly!i would recommend just pushing end of a normal pillow just under your tummy to 'prop' it up a little xxx
