22 weeks pregnant with twins

Im having a boy and a girl. I had an ultra sound about 4 days ago, i was 22 weeks. The U.S tech. told me that Baby A was 14oz and Baby B was 1lb, 1oz. I thought it was a little bit weird how one was more then the other. I was a bit worried. But the doctor said everything was fine and i shouldnt worry. Congrats everyone!

Im 23 weeks pregnant with fraternal twins. I've only had 3 ultrasound my entire pregnancy. I have no idea what they weigh. My last sono was at 17 weeks and I'm not scheduled to have one till 36 weeks. I'm just like what's going on. Is this normal? I hurt so much on my pelvic that it makes me cry. Should I find a new doctor

I am currently 24weeks 5 days and at my 22weeks appointment Baby A -boy weighed 1lb 3 oz and baby b-girl weighed 1 lb 2 oz. And I also have a son who will be 2 in two weeks. So we are in the same boat. Good Luck.

My twins are 6 now. My girls were 5lbs 3oz and 4lbs 1oz. I was scared for my smaller twin, but she did fine. They started monitoring her at 24 wks to make sure she was growing appropriately and getting proper nutrition. They monitored to make sure she was getting a proper flow of blood through the umbilical cord. It was always normal. I made it 37 weeks with no bed rest and going strong with my active 5 year old son. We had a planned c-section with no signs of me delivering. I had a previous c-section so it was the best choice for me to repeat a c-section. Have a joyful pregnancy! Congratulations!

I went my whole pregnancy with anywhere from a 5-7oz difference between my twins...If the doc isn't worried don't worry

Congratulations on being 22 weeks pregnant with twins!! I have 18 month old g/g twins and they have always been almost a pound apart in weight. I worried too at first but came to find out the worrying is automatic! :-) I forget what their exact weights were at that time but yours sound to be about the same as what my girls were. When my girls were born my smallest twin came out weighing 6lbs 12oz and my larger twin weighed 7lbs 14oz....Very healthy weights!! Just make sure you are eating right, taking your vitamins and giving them all the nutrients they need, they should be just fine.

Your Doc's will watch you closely for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. Many new ways of treating this so try not to fret too much.

im also pregnant with identical twin girls, and they were worried about baby b taking more than baby a, at 22 weeks pregnant with my twins baby a was 13 oz and baby b was 1 lb , and 2 weeks later at my next ultrasound, baby a was 1 lb 5 oz and baby b was 1 lb 10 oz, and they said that it was a normal difference in size , and that the chances of the twin to twin transfusion is only at 20 % so im sure you have nothing to worry about, dont stress over it, or it will make it worse on you. i also have an 11 month old son, so i know how you feel with having another baby to take care of. good luck. =)

i have a almost 3 years old and twin gurls...sounds like ur gonna b in the same boat as me. My gurls were born 5 lbs at 37 weeks and were perfectly healthy twins r risky but they will turn out beautiful=)

i know at my 36 week scan they were around 5 and a half to six pounds and born at 38 weeks 5 days they were 6lbs 9 and 6lbs 11 so quite acurate i think but remember being about 21 weeks and my twins weighed around that! dont worry its fine! good luck!

you should be ok being 22 weeks pregnant with twins...i am a mother of twin boys and they are two years old now but when i had them baby A was 4lbs and baby B was 5lbs and 6oz...so that should be about right i cant remember but just continue to eat good and everything should be ok...baby B will always be bigger than baby A...good luck and i hope everything goes well...

Keep in mind the margin of error on ultrasound for weight is pretty high, particularly when you are dealing with twins (who are in cramped quarters). If your doctor isn't worried, I wouldn't worry either.

Thank you that makes me feel better I think once baby A is over a pound I will feel better. They are just making sure one is not getting more than the other since they share the same placenta but Baby A is continuing to grow so its a good sign

If the doctors arn't worried then you shouldn't be worried. I know it's easier said than done. My b/g twins were born at 33 weeks six days, six weeks early. My son weighed four pounds 19 ounces, and my daughter weighed three pounds twelve ounces. Just keep in mind that there usually is a weight difference, I don't think I've ever heard of multiples weighing the exact same amount. One usually ends up weighing slightly more than the other. They are two now and you could never tell, though there has always been a weight difference between the two. My son has always weighed more ( by about a pound) and has always been slightly taller than my daughter.

It is scary though with my second pregnany to my son who will be two months old September 12th, I freaked out over stuff because my twins were preemie, but I ended up having him at 38 weeks 6 days, and he weighed six pounds 1 ounce.
