My twin boys are 7 years old and people still ask me stupid questions! The same old questions are ....Are they twins? , Are they identical ? Did I take drugs to have them? Did I have a c-section? Is it just me or does this happen to all moms with twins?????? Please let me know if you have been asked stupid or personal questions about twins.......

Yep! I am 61 and my twins are 23. Still get asked, but now they answer the questions. People can be so insensitive especially when they are teens.

Mine are 4, and seeing yours are 7 and your still getting questions... well....shoot.... Guess we are in it for the long haul. lol. I have a 2 1/2 yr old and my twins and him are roughly the same size give or take a few inches and lbs. I get stupid questions like triplets? ERR noo..he's about 10lbs littler and 4 inches smaller! duh! Lately, I've been getting rude about it, saying, "Yep, he's the runt, we just dont feed him as well as the others." I know its bad, but boy it felt good :D I got into an arguement with a lady in the frozen food isle of walmart because she didnt believe they were twins. One is blone blue eyed one is brown hair hazel eyes. I finally just walked away, why am I arguing? I know they are twins, I had them!

My twins are now grown and when people find out they are twins (they look nothing alike, I mean totally different) they still ask them or me questions.

My twins are 9 months old. I am still shocked at how people ask such personal questions without realizing how personal. Like, did you take fertility drugs to have twins? I'm sorry, but you don't know my name, what makes you think that you have a right to my medical history???

I am an adoptive step parent of twins there is only 5 months between my oldest and my twins. my oldest was triplets but he was the only survivor. I know all about the stupid questions I get them compiled with how are they so close in age. why does the oldest look different. the classic was only about the twins do they have the same father? ok someone failed sex ed. lol

I acutally do tell them I had fertility treatments because sometimes the honesty freaks them out and they STOP asking questions.

It's like, "if I had a nickle everytime someone asked me-- do twins run in your family?" OH -- it's the dumbest question -- doesn't ANYONE realize that the chances of twins being from fertility treatments is pretty big-- why would they ask that? I hate it.

my fav is were you trying for twins? really? is that even a real question???? I couldn't resist.. I said no I wanted triplets but had to settle! I think it was her way of trying to ask if we used fert. drugs.. joke on her.. my twin girls are adopted!

Yep, always get asked questions like that...as if I would tell a perfect stranger whether I had fertility treatments or not! I have b/g twins and my favorite question I get asked is, "Are they identical?" I also like it when people come up to me and say, "Your boys/girls are so cute." Um, my daughter is dressed almost exclusively in pink or purple and my son almost always in blue or brown. Yep, got two of the same.

I was JUST having a conversation about this last week with someone. People always walk up to me.. complete strangers, and ask, "Are they twins?" They're the same size, they look exactly alike.. what's your first clue? I just want to say, "No, I had one and just happened to find one born at the same time who looked exactly the same that I adopted!" GAH! People really are stupid!

My girls are almost 6 and we have always gotten those ????s. It was much worse when they were babies, we would have them both in dresses and people would ask if they were boy girl twins, that's gotta be my fav stupid ?? Now we mostly get..are they identical?? So I say..do they look the same?? I try not to be rude but it's hard not to anymore.

People ask if there are twins in the family so I lie and say "yes" (though I believe there are twins on my grandfather´s side). It just stops all those other nosy questions. The one that annoys me the most though, is "are they both boys/girls?" when one is clearly dressed in girls´ clothes and the other in boys´!! (I have boy/girl twins). People are stupid!

we used to get it more when they were younger, mine are now 5yr old b/g. The girl is about 2" taller than her brother. But what I loved to do is wear a shirt that our twins group sold that had the late night with twins that answered the top 10 questions that parents of multiples here. Shut most people up.

ALWAYS! Stupid questions and stupider comments! My boy shows every bit of his mediterranean heritage, dark skin, dark eyes, black hair while my girl was the hospital switch! Blonde hair, blue eyes, ghostly white skin. (If I hadn't been awake when they were born, I'd swear the doctors mixed her up w/someone else's baby!) Idress my girl in pinks, purples, flowers and ALWAYS have little hairbows in her hair while my boy is always wearing blues, sporty clothes with baseball caps or just nothing on his nearly bald head. I still get asked if they are identical...heck! some people ask me that even A"FTER I tell them they are boy and girl! I hear the questions still come into their late teens so I figured I'll just get used to it and not let it bother me anymore! :)

I hope this makes you feel better. When I had my son over 8 years ago, my friend and I were pregnant at the same time and we ended up delivering 9 days apart. My son was over 9lbs and hers just over 5lbs. Some woman walked up to us and asked if they were twins?? Cause they look nothing alike!!!
