I guess you could say i really need some kinda support group, and yes i know about the organizations of twins and triplets but like i said i'm a single mom so spending money for a membership is not an option right now. I have twin two year olds boy/girl, and i live with my 90 year old grandma who needs about as much care as them. I dont have a good support most of my friends have married and moved away and i only have my 65 year old mom who cant really help with the kids because she has health issues and my grandma thats it for family. I'm also trying to find a job that will support us, but that seems to be very hard these days how are other mothers of twins doing it?? I want a place of our own so bad but i really dont ever see that happening. I just really need some advice on how others are doing it cause i am so lost.

Thanks
Angela

Hello Angela, first let me say that you are doing an amazing job keeping it all together when you have so much on your plate. I can totally understand why you want a place of your own, living with someone else can be very tough!

I am a single mother with twins. I have a daughter my biological daughter and she is 15. I adopted 2 children. They are now 4 and 6.

I recently got custody of my twin baby brothers. They are almost 11 months. It can be extremely difficult at times. I'm not as young as I was when I was raising my daughter. I don't have as much energy as I used to and twins are definitely a lot of work.

My 4 and 6 year old children are both special needs children and one of the twins is medically fragile and has special needs as well. Because of this I do not work right now so I am always at home with the kids. Sometimes I feel like I am going crazy, but there are days when everything is okay! I just take it one day at a time and sometimes just hour by hour!

I'm a single mom of 20 month old twins. I work 2 jobs to support us. My parents, like your mom aren't physically able to help, but they help with what they can. Me and their father recently split, so I'm trying to keep my distance from him as much as possible because he is my major source of stress and anxiety. It's been difficult, but I've had people helping with childcare so I can continue to work. I work 3rd shift so I also don't get to sleep much. some days are good, some days are bad, but I'm trying to build myself a good emotional support system. If you ever need to vent or talk feel free to contact me. I know it can be overwhelming and sometimes all you need is just someone to talk to, to get your mind off of life!
