i'm 28 weeks and have luckily not got any stretch marks, i have no idea how i've avoided them cuz my belly is so big measuring 36cm. i feel like it can't expand anymore without getting stretch marks. just curious when you noticed stretch marks. a lot of people say i wont get them now that i'm so big and managed to avoid them so far but i don't feel that way...

My mom and all my aunts on both sides never got stretch marks so i figured i wouldnt either. but my first pregnancy was my twin girls and i went from being a tiny looking pregnant girl up intill i was about 6 in a half months and then i just got huge fast! i used lotions everyday and took baths with baby oil and everything and i still got hit bad with stretch marks the last month! so i hope you dont because they stink big time but honestly there is nothing you can do to prevent them.

Just to give you hope.  I never got any with either pregnancy.  I made it to 40.4 weeks with my single baby...gained 68 pounds and she weighed 9 pounds 1 ounce.  With the twins I made it to 37.6 weeks and gained 60 pounds.  Baby A weighed 7 pounds and Baby B weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces.   I think drinking tons of water and keeping insides hydrated helps  the most.  I also used Cocoa Butter, but not religiously with the twins, I did with the single baby though.

Stretch marks are genetic. If momma got them, more than likely you will too, especially w/ twins. Creams can help minimize, but not stop. It's nice to dream anyway.

I've tried quite a few stretch mark products during my pregnancy and Dermalmd Stretch Mark Serum is by far the best! The consistency is perfect, it smells nice and it's not oily, it dries very quickly. I would highly recommend!

I thought I was really lucky, 32 weeks pregnant with twins and no stretch marks...but they came, I used stretch mark cream throughout my whole pregnancy but I think sometimes when you're that big there isn't anything you can do about it! Sorry...but the babies are totally worth it!

I didn't start to get them until about week 32. I wasn't very big. But suddenly one day I woke up with them. OMG the itching was terrible! I used cream, etc etc etc. By the end of my pregnancy (week 37) it looked like I had flames shooting up my belly!

I faithfully used Palmers as well and well I still ended up with stretch marks in the end. I was around 31  weeks when I got them but I wasn't surprized because I was so little before pregnancy and my mom got them with all 3. (Darn Genetics)

I too used the Palmers lotion faithfully  didn't get any with my son, then with my twins (girls) I started to get them around week 30!  Just a few under my belly button and now 20months later you can hardly see them!  My girls were born at 34 weeks 5days!  At end my stomach measured 45 inches around so since your skin is not ment to be stretched that far I guess a few stretch marks are too bad!  I was always told that if you gain weight too fast that can lead to stretch marks and that genetics can play a factor!

got mine in eighth month - tons! Goes by genetics though..............did your mom get them? Did you inherit her body type? I was religious about the cream - didn't work. It is very rare when twins don't cause stretch marks!! SUCKS!

I didn't get them until well past 28 weeks. Use the cream...I didn't use it because I didn't think I was going to get them since it took so long. I got them...I just tell my husband they are there to remind him of what I did for him :)

I didnt get my strech marks until week 34. I was bad and I only used the cream every now and then but not every night. Im sure if you keep up the cream you wont get them. I have them now and they are horriable. I will never where a bkini again.

to be honest...I thought I would get them because my mom had them REALLY bad with my brother and I. I was lucky to not get the first one and I was HUGE. I believe the only thing that kept it from happening was a faithfulness of rubbing Jergens Shea Butter Creme lotion on my belly EVERY night right after I got into bed. My husband had fun rubbing it on!! :) Hopefully you won't get any...I will keep my fingers crossed for ya!!
