Wondering what kind of stroller everyone is using. I have a 15 month old son and twins on the way in August. Interested in jogging strollers although not limited to. Thanks.

I have yet to find the perfect double stroller - they all have their pluses and minuses. You definitely want a double snap-n-go for the car when the twins are small. I have a Baby Trend Double Jogger which is ok. It's not suitable for indoor use, though (won't fit through doors), so I only use it for what it was designed for -- walking. I had a Peg Perego Duette but it was too difficult to steer and take apart so I sold it. Now I use the Kolcraft Contours Tandem and the Zooper Tango (my hubbie and I each have a stroller for our cars). The Contours is nice because the kids can face each other, but it's a pain to fold. It's also easier to push in narrow spaces. The Zooper is my favorite so far because it has a double bassinet, can fit a car seat, has a full awning (so the boys can be fully shaded on sunny days), includes a rain cover and bug cover. I'm wondering if anyone makes a double stroller with a standing platform -- it's going to be tough for you to transport twins and an 18 month old.

We started with the Snap-n-go stroller frame. Our Graco car seats snapped right onto the frame. It was perfect for the first few months. We got ours on craigslist so we didn't have to pay very much. Now we want a regular stroller for when they are out of their car seats.

I just finished a marathon of research to find the best stroller. It was a nightmare! I think the final answer is that there is no perfect stroller. The book "Baby Bargains" has some suggestions for twin parents but they boil it down to this....there's cheap (Graco Duoglider) and then there's expensive (MacLaren or Baby Jogger, etc). There isn't a good mid-priced, good quality double stroller that will work for twins. We ended up going with the Baby Jogger City Classic Double. It's not **exactly** meant for jogging, but it's got the big 12" tires on it, so you probably could do some light jogging with it. The thing we liked about it is that it is made really well -- it's going to be durable and last us as long as we need it, and probably have good resale value (perhaps as much as 50% of what we paid). Amazon just dropped the prices on the 2008 models considerably, so that made our decision easier. The thing folds up, but not super small. I can fit it in the back of my Prius -- just can't put anything else in the trunk. It "drives" like a dream ....has suspension for the babies so they don't feel so many bumps and it's very smooth on any surface (even grass). I'm planning to buy a double umbrella stroller that folds up small that we can have for the Prius for "quick" trips -- to a store or something where we don't need a full-blown stroller. Otherwise, the Baby Jogger is going to be fabulous for walking, going to the zoo and stuff like that. I was also thinking about the Maclaren Twin Techno and the Baby Jogger City Mini (which folds up smaller than the one I have). But the city mini has smaller tires and it was nearly the same price as the reduced-price city classic that I bought (the city mini wasn't on sale, apparently). All of these are side-by-sides. In reading comments on other websites from other twin parents, I heard so many people say the side-by-sides end up being better when babies are older because you get arguments about who gets to sit in front and stuff like that. I also chose a side-by-side because shopping is not a big priority. We made a decision right from the start that we would avoid taking the babies to stores just because of all the headaches it brings. Last piece of advice....before you buy something, check out the folded dimensions and make sure it's going to fit in your car. Also keep in mind that ALL double strollers are going to be heavy.

Well we purchased a schwinn double jogger with swivel wheel and we love it! 1/2 the price of the BOB!

I have been throug so many strollers. Everytime I think "it's the one" and I change my my. It's funny when you go through spurts some strollers are better depending on their age. We've been through just the baby trends where the car seats clip on (single and double) regular umbrella (twice now) and a Combi side by side double (which is great because it folds up and is now bigger then a set of golf clubs. But age plays a big role.

I am also in the middle of double stroller research. My twins are 9 months old and right now we have the double snap-n-go and it works wonderfully! We love it. But I'm starting to look now for when they grow out of their car seats in a couple of months. I think we're going to get the BOB.

we had 2 year old twins and a new born but we liked the baby trends triple, the middle was a little tight though and I dont know if it can hold 2 car seats. The kolcraft is a nice double because they can look at each other and is big enough I usually put 2 in the back seat or one in the middle standing.

My friend like the Joovy big cabose but one of them has to stand,

dont get the Peg grego, it take too much time to disassemble and put in the car. Until the twins get bigg you might get a frame from Snap and go and then get the baby trends it folds nicely into the car.

i had two strollers. one was the double side by side umbrella strollers, which sucked trying to get through door ways with it. i only used it if i took walks around town. then i had another one that i used everywhere i went. it was like a double carriage stroller that went the long way and you could fit both car seats in them, when they were a bit older you could put them in it and have them facing eachother, then when they were alot older you could turn the first seat around so they would be facing the same direction. plus it had the bigger wheels on it that was nice if you went someone that had all rocks. i got that one at BABY'S R US. hope this helped and hope you find what your looking for :)
