Hello everyone! My girls are 8 months and I am just starting the transition to Sippy Cups. They have been on a high calorie formula diet and so I didn't want to slow down their formula intake by switching but I think now it is time. I bought the NUK cups and it seems really hard to get the liquid through...I have even tried myself and it was tough!! Do you have any suggestions on what worked best for you babies? My girls currently use the ventaire playtex bottles with fast flow. I think these sippies are just to slow..who knows. Any advice would be great!

Thanks for the info ladies!! I did order the Tilty online. It is BPA free and has a cool design. I will let you know how it goes, hopefully it will work well! Thanks again!

I used Playtex I believe, it had a white thing under the cap for a slow or a fast flow (you would take it out and flip it for whichever flow you wanted). The cups wouldn't leak too badly, and they were generally cheaper. about $1 $1.50 each if I remember correctly. We never had the softer mouth piece, we always used hard. :-S So I am lacking info in that department. Hopefully this will help Good Luck and God bless!

I am just starting the transition with my girls and a friend suggested to me that I try a brand called Nuby. The mouth piece on them is soft like the nipple on a bottle so it is supposed to help ease the transition. My girls seem to like them better than any other ones I have tried so far....

What sippy did he use first...actually use? I do expose them to the sippy's alot, but they just want to chew on them. It's very frustrating!

My son used the exact same bottle and it did take a while for him to learn to suck on the sippy cup, we bought a few different kinds for him to try out ( when your girls do learn to use one of the sippy cups eventually they will use all of them and you'll need lots!) I remember my neice came over for a weekend ( she's 5 months older) and by the time she left my son was drinking out of her cup. So I think it was a combination of us exposing him to the sippy cup alot and also exposing him to his cousin who was older and he wanted to emulate.

Gerber graduates with the handles on the sides worked great for my boys starting out. Good luck!! Beautiful girls :)
