Hello all, I am looking for double stroller and I have been searching for awhile. Right now I am using just the double snap and go with the infant seats, but my girls are such looky loos that they strain to sit up and see everything. I didn't think I wanted the side-by-side but I am finding in reviews that those have been the best.

Which did you guys find better?

Depends on what you will be doing with it the most. We had a travel system with the double stroller front to back that's HUGE and really sturdy. We started traveling a lot and taking plane rides when my twins were just over a year and we wanted something light weight and small to take on trips. We still use the front to back one sometimes for things like shopping where there are narrow spaces. We use our umbrella type double side-by-side to trips to the zoo and stuff so both boys can see things better. The side-by-side does just barely fit through doorways, so be careful.

I use a maclaren side by side twin, it folds up small and lasts. I had 1 years ago for my 1st 2 kids, they were a year apart. Now I have another 1 for my twins. I like having them next to each other, they communicate and hold hands while we shop. So cute.

hiya i had a massive one when my twins were 1st born and loved it but it was way 2 big so changed to the cossatto double the one for the girlies is "sugar and spice and all things nice" they come with cosytoes head huggers and raincover plus 2 bottle warmer bags that attatch to the stroller.

I wasn't sure before i got this one as i didn't want another 1 i couldn't get through the shop doors but its fantastic and i love it i personally prefer sise by side as i didn't want one of my twins to have to sit facing the back of the other all day long!! anyway i have a couple of friends who have the same sort and have never heard a bad word said about. The price is really good 2 and range from £189-£230 so a bargain. Of and it folds quite small and is pretty lightweight sorry to rave on but it really doesn't have any bad points lol.

We had the double-snap-n-go (Changing to a triple... new addition) and also a side-by-side jogger... The side-by-side is great for taking walks or for going to the park, but it can be hard to get through doors or if your out shopping it takes up alot of space whereas the tandem is better on space, but a little harder to steer...

Hope this helps...

I have a Valco baby twintrimode with add on toddler seat for my then 3 year old to sit upfront. It is the best thing ever!!! Fits through doorways and we take it everywhere. A dream to push effortless even uphill. Tons of compliments on it all the time. They run around $800 new but you can get one used for about half that. I use it almost every day. Totally worth it for us.

The Graco Duo glide is great for when they are younger. The biggest problem we had with it when our b/g twins were younger was the fact there wasn't much room between the seats, and whomever was in the back kept kicking the one in the front. We tried the side by side and those work fairly well if your kids don't fight with one another, but I'm not sure if you can use infant carriers with those or not. With our two and a half year old b/g twins and almost six month old son we use the Joovy big caboose stroller. It's a triple sit and stand stroller. I'm not sure what else they offer, but that stroller is real life saver.

I also have twins and loved the city mini baby jogger...at first. now they are 14 months and stuffing them in the stroller with thir down jackets sucks. I do like that it does fit through most standard doors but don't like that it can rip easily when brushing against stuff getting into doors, etc. I went to the store where I bought it while still under the year warranty. they took pics and sent to company. company sent me free of charge replacement but only for the top part. when I opened it to put it on the main part was not there but past warranty (and they are equally torn) and they won't replace it. am very dissappointed. there is no way this thing will last for their 'stroller lifetime'

I really love pushing the side by side's.. Although they might not fit down every isle, they are much easier to push than the longer versions.. especially when they have six wheels instead of four. I love how compact they fold up too! Such a life saver! Good luck! :)

Thank you again everyone. I went ahead and ordered the Combi Twin Sport EX Stroller, I really wanted the cranberry color, but could only find the wasabi. It should arrive in a couple days, I'm so excited to use it.

i have had both. my boys didn't like the tandem one at all, plus i could only fit one car seat on it at a time. Now i use a Combi side by side stroller. it is perfect. both seats lay completly flat if i need them to or they can sit straight up. but the boys are just 4 months and are in between they lay down and sit up stage. i have been really pleased with my purchase. it is even small enough to fit through standard doors. i have taken it every where. the cheapest place i found to buy one is at www.albeebaby.com i was real pleased with their service. hope this helps.

i have the Graco Quatrro Tour Duo. absolutely love it! my girls are 4 1/2 months now and we just started putting them in it without the car seats. they love to "sit up", face forward and look around. it has a good 5 point harness. opens and closes with one hand and fits in the back of our highlander great, still some cargo space too. it's a front to back which is the best for shopping and stuff. easier to maneuver through a store. good luck!

We've got three. A no-frills Jeep side by side umbrella stroller that miraculously fits in the trunk of our little convertible, a Peg Pergo Twin Aria side by side for the van, and "the limo" Graco duoglider for the house. Of these I like the Aria the best. It's egalitarian, fits through doorways, and it has these great freedom of movement harnesses that let the babies lean forward and look all around without risk of falling out. Plus it weighs next to nothing and folds up easily. The limo was a shower gift from a gang of ladies at church, the Jeep was off Craigslist, and the Aria was from a consignment sale. ( I'd rather send them to college someday than buy new stuff they'll outgrow before it wears out.)

I don't like the side-by-sides bc they dont fit through a lot of doorways or some aisles at stores are not wide enough for them. I had the duoglider which was fine in the beginning but not quite sturdy enough for my little roughlings. We went out and bought the Kolcraft Jeep stroller and love every bit of it. In the beginning we thought, What the heck have we done, bc it was so hard to unfold and fold but it only took about 3 or 4 uses for it to wear in and now it just pops right open and folds right up so easily and quickly. I am 4 1/2 months pregnant and even over my belly I have no problems getting it in and out. It folds pretty wide (no wider than normal strollers though) but it folds in half (so it's not long when it's folded up) and it has the extended handles which we love bc my husband is 6'4 and I am 5'9 so it works great for us. It has tons of storage space underneath it and it also has side pockets that clip shut so you can keep smaller items in an easy-to-get-to place (like cell phones, pacifiers, etc). It has cup holders as well as a little steering wheel toy in the front seat that both my babies LOVE to play with. Both seats have their own shade-canopy that lowers all the way down bc I hate how most stroller shades hardly even shade them at all. The back seat also lowers down completely flat which makes a good place for changing diapers. The seatbelts are the shoulder ones that are well-padded and comfortable for the babies but as my 13 month olds love to stick their heads out of the stroller to see around them, I like the shoulder straps that keep them more securely inplace. It's a very sturdy stroller too (it's Jeep-branded) so you can even jog with it (as I love to do)

I have a front to back stroller and I love it. Mine is a tandum stroller so the front seat will turn around and face the back seat so the boys can see each other and play. I got it from Strollers.com but they also carried it at Burlington Coat Factory. It was by Safety First. On line was $175 but it was in the store for $135... it fits through all doors and in the store isles!

I have the Citi Mini double (side-by-side) by BabyJogger (not a jogging stroller) and love it. It is great for walks and easy to push. I has fit through all doorways in the malls and stores and turns on a dime. It is tricky to go through the narrower parts of stores, but I wouldn't trade it after 2 years!

I actually have a side by side by babyjogger. I have the city classic which is a little bigger then the city mini. Both are wonderful and fit through standard size doors. They are very easy to fold up and the babies love being in it. It is great for walks and I use it in stores that dont offer carts. I also have single stroller for when my husband and I split up which is a combi.

I wish that you lived next to me ..i have one that i just let sit in the shed for years and now ready to throw out... i had the Graco not the side by side...It was very expensive though it came with the car seats..

I like a back-to-front, that's the kind we have, but I can't tell you anything about it really except that it's a graco, we got it used from a friend. Double strollers don't always fin in between things or in doorways, so I would measure a standard doorway and measure the stroller before you buy it.
