They are great weights. My id twin girls were born at 33 weeks 3lbs 3oz and 3lbs 14oz. We spent 6 weeks in hospital. They wouldnt let them home until they reached 2kg each and wouldn't let one come home without the other. They will be 3 on July 23 and are still small for their age weighng 10.8kg and 11.2kg.

It sounds like they are right about where they should be at this time!! I carried my twin boys to 38 weeks and 2 days and had my scheduled c-section. They told me twins should be delivered at 38 weeks if possible. My boys were 6 lb 5 oz and 5lb 15 oz. My ultrasounds were way off! I was told to expect 8 lb babies and they definalty were not!!

I think that is good weights. My twin and l were born at 31 weeks. We were 3.12 and 4.4. The doctor said we were just great weights. That was in 1972. My twins were born at 38 weeks. I had a c-section. Abbey was 7.3 pounds and Foster was 8 pounds.

My g/g identical twins were born @ 29 wks...they were taken via emergency c-section due to twin-to-twin transfusion! Had they not been taken they both would have died in utero. Twin A-Paige weighed 3.7 lbs and Twin B-Victoria weighed 2.7 lbs and they were in the NICU just shy of 8 wks. Paige came home on a Monday and Victoria came home on a Wednesday (in May).

I would definitally say that they are on track, but like most have said, US are off and are not truly accurate. I had went in a day before I went into labor at 35 weeks and they told me that they were both 5 lbs one a little over 5. The very next day I delivered them via C-Section and they weighed in at 4lbs.4oz. and 4lbs.13oz. Both did great and went home with me when I came home. My littler one had some trouble eating we seringe fed her, but other than that they are now healthy 2 year old girls (identicle) Best of luck to you and your twins :) Keep them in every day that you possible can and that is the best you can do :)

My twin girls delivered at 32 weeks weighing 3lbs 12 oz and 3 lbs 9.5 oz. Both were healthy but were on oxygen for 6 weeks while in the hospital. They were also tube fed at first and put in separate isolets. They are now 9 years old. They are still quite small and people think they are only 6 years old. Otherwise they are very healthy.

Yes those are very good sizes. Bear in mind that US measurements can be off by a huge amount, depending on the tech's skill and experience. I delivered at 32w1d and first one 4lb2oz and second one was 3lb12oz, I was told they were both over 4lbs but they weren't You would think they were similar in size but the second one looked very much smaller than the first so those little ounces make a big difference. Eat a lot of protein to grow your babies. Every day counts.

Mine were born at 34 weeks and the girl weighed- 4lbs 10ozs and the boy weighed 4lbs 2ozs. what does your doctor think? I think it sounds like they are doing great! If you have any worries, ask questions, your doctor should be able to help you with your worries.

My Mono/mono twins were delivered at 32 wks 3 days and were 3lbs 8oz and 3lbs 12oz and were said to be a very good weight for their gestational age. They spent 4 weeks in the NICU and went home at 6lbs a piece. They are nearly 3 mos old now and weight 9lbs 8oz and 10lbs. I would say you are in great shape.

My girls were born at 28 weeks and were 2lb 7oz and 2lb 5oz. I was told that was a very good weight for twins at that gestation, and that a singleton at 28 weeks usually weighs around 2 1/2 lb. Sophie, yours were a very good weight and you're lucky. Mine spent 4 months in NICU.
Our twins were born at 33w 5d and were 4lb 6oz & 4lb 3oz. They spent 12 days in the NICU and 6 days in the step-down unit to gain weight before coming home!
The ultra-sound tech told us a few days before I delivered that they were almost 5lb each, but u/s can be off by half a lb one way or the other. Over all, I would say that is a good weight for twins at your gestation!

I think this also varies a fair bit depending on mom and how's she's built. Mine were born at 37ish weeks and were 5lbs 9oz and 7lbs 1 oz mono/di. They're still about a pound and a half apart in weight to this day (will be two in Feb). I'm sure they're just right!
