My twins started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. I had them on the same EXACT saeme schedule since the day they were born and I think that helped... I have ALWAYS fed them at the same time, changed them at the same time, bathed them at the same time, etc. That was the BEST advice I EVER got about twins! SAME SCHEDULE! But then again every baby is different...

My boys sleep straight through 12 hours. They started sleeping that way from 2 months on. Putting them in their own cribs I think helped a lot! I let them sleep and never ever wake them up for anything. They know what they need. Some days they sleep a lot and some days they sleep a little bit but they always sleep straight through for 12 hours. I didn't wake mine up for feedings because they were born small and have already jumped up into 95% for weight. They eat well and sleep well and why make it harder on yourself.

My twins were 18 months before they slept through the night. They were 4 wks. early, about 41/2 and 5 lbs. At 18 months they had tubes put in their ears and started sleeping. Sometimes it's the amount of food, sometimes, comfort, sometimes something medical. It will pass and it will be joyfull. My boys will be 20 in one month.

My daughter starting going 6-7 hours at 6 weeks old. My son was more restless and was around 3 months old when he finally slept for a 6+ hour stretch. I guess we were lucky. I also used the Baby Whisperer methods. We used to wake them for a feed at 11.30pm so they would go longer at night - worked great. We dropped that late feed when they were 4.5 months old and they started sttn 12 hours. We havent looked back since.

for the first time around 3 months. that lasted 3 or 4 months, then when they started teething and interrupted sleep returned. They are 15 months now and have been back to sleeping through the nights for a few months.

at 2 months they slept for 7 hours straight and by 6 months they slept 9 hours ata time. they are now 1 year old tomorrow (Feb. 10th) and they still sleep 9 hours at a time. if you are having troubles, then at night when they wake up, give them water bottles and they will soon realize it's not worth waking up for. they will start sleeping through within a week.

My twin daughters started sleeping through the night at 3 months old between 7 to 9 hours at a time. It was great to be able to get enough sleep and be able to function the next morning

I have five children, and each was a little different from the others, but most often they started sleeping more soundly and for longer periods when they started solid foods.

WOW, I need help...........everyone on here seems to be getting sleep. My twins wake up every three hours and a few times inbetween. They never go longer than 3 hours. What can I do?? They are 7 months old. I look forward to more than 5 hours sleep.

Mine were going about 4-5 hours until week 12 and then they slept 71/2 and then I quickly extended it to 81/2. If they are 11-12 lbs there is no reason they can't sleep throught the night if you have them on a schedule and they are getting enough calories in the day. (unless they have health isues)

From birth I had them on t 3 hour feeding schedule even if they were asleep I woke and changed fed and played and then to bed awake. The only time i didn't wake them was in the night I let them wake up so they would learn there days from nights. They are 18 weeks old now and we are still on a 3 hour schedule. I feed them at 7,10,1,4, 6:45 and then do a dream feed at 10 pm and they sleep until 7am. Sometimes my son is awake around 5:30am talking to him self but if he is even awake he goes back to sleep and I wake them both at 7. I did a combination of baby whisperer and baby wise.

oh my. :) I had great twins. They started sleeping through the night at 2 months. The two weeks before that were awful though. They stayed up alllllllll night until 4 am every night for 2 weeks straight. They nursed every hour all night long. Drove me crazy. I didn't go to bed, just watched movies and waited for the crying to start. heheh..
but then, like a switch. They started sleeping straight through from about 10pm until 5am. It was huge. :)

Mine were up every 2 hours until 4 months...by 5 months they were sleeping from 7 pm to almost 7 am with one 11pm dream feed. They basically went from awful sleeps to awesome sleepers..good luck!

Just getting them on the routine I mentioned that helped. Well it helped a lot with the new baby. Try that the book baby whisperer. It's great!!!

My twins are sleeping 6-7 hours and will be three months on the 13th of Feb. They just recently started this too. We found that their feeding schedule wasn't cutting it. They were getting hungry earlier, so we slowly increased the amount of formula they were getting at each feeding. They have a 6 ounce bottle through out the day (which is about every 5 hours) and then an 8 oz bottle at 11 pm. When we get home from work we interact with them while taking care of our other child and making dinner and then when we put our oldest down at 8 they go to bed as well. They get up at about 11-11:30 and go right back to bed when done. They sleep until 6:30 am. We did this with our oldest and as time went on he started to go to bed earlier and earlier and was sleeping a 12 hour stretch at 6 months.

Every child (or set of children) is different. My twins were only waking once in a 12 hour stretch at 3 months old and 12 hours straight (for a month only) at 6 months. My son is 22 months now and I'm lucky if he sleeps 10 hours w/out waking.....

My Twins started immediately at 2 weeks! I had to wake them for feedings. The singleton started sleeping through the night regularly at about 2 months. We used the book The Baby Whisperer. It was GREAT! The practice is to have the babies on a routine not a schedule: E.A.S.Y which stands for Eat, Activity, Sleep, Then You Time. with twins it's especially easy to have them entertain each other during playtime (sometimes) when u have things to do. Always feed on demand though is what I did. but since mine weren't waking I'd wake them as newborns every 2 hours. Then every 4... Then as they got older and on solids I just let them sleep. When they were on growth spurts they'd eat a lot more than usual or sleep more. They'd also cry more sometimes or be more fussy. Hope I've helped.

my girls started sleeping through when they were about 6 months old!! They would still wake sometimes but only for comfort rather than a bottle and it wasn't for prolonged periods of time!! I found that one twin was still waking but wanting cuddles or to play so i moved them into their own room when they were about 8 months old this seemed to sort the problem and they both started sleeping straight through! Good luck
