Mine just turned two a few days ago and just started saying more than one word at a time or repeating what we say. My doctor wasn't worried so I've just been worrying on my own but just in the past few days, its picked up a great deal. I still only understand a third of what they say but I'm not as worried.

Do they talk to each other? It is common for twins to not talk in clear speech until much later than others, because they have their own "language". Are they ABLE to say words, but just dont?

My 22 month old boys just started speech therapy,one twin is beginning to say a few words, the other is doing better signing.

Talk to your pediatrician if you are concerned. My girls are 21 months and talk all day long and even have a few sentences. I live in NY and they have an early intervention program for children who might be behind in a certain area like speech or gross or fine motor skills. Check with your local health department and see. My one daughter was behind with walking and standing and she receives PT and OT in our house and it is totally free. Definitely worth checking out.

our 2 year old twins are starting to say some more words now. Not all clear but enough to make out. They havent started talking in sentences or anything but they are getting there. Not really concerned at this stage.

my daughters were saying words by 2 but really didnt start talking till they were 3. now they are 6 and dont shut up lol

mine twin girls have been talking since about 7/8 months. they r now 18 months and talk all the time

My twin girls are 2 years and they do not speak almost at all. they understand everything but only few words they are saying. should i be worried. any suggestions ladies? help me out
