hi my twins went blue a month or 2 after birth but now my son has brown eyes like his dad they changed when he was 11ms they are now 14ms my daughers are a funny colour bluey-brown so think she will have bown eys mine are blue-grey my twin sis has green eyes my parents have blue eyes.
not only has their eyes changed their har has gone from brown to a bleacblond colour- weired

My oldest set of twins who are now nine both started out with light blue and dark blue eyes by about the age of 3 one of the twins eyes went to a hazel blue colour some days more blue then hazel other days look more hazel lol but my son with the pale blue eyes still has the most amazing pale blue grey eye colour :)

i have 9 year old twin boys and they were born with my eye color which is green,but when they were a little over a year old they turned brown like their fathers.

My eyes started out blue and stayed blue until I was in first grade, when they slowly turned over to green. They have been green ever since. My twins eyes are both blue, but I suspect one boy's eyes are going to turn green when he is a little older. I think the other twin is going to keep his blues. My nephew's eyes also turned from blue to green around 3 1/2. A late blue to green switch is fairly common in people of Irish or Scottish decent. Eye color can definitely change later than 6 months, so they could still switch to brown. I think it's more unusual for blue eyes to switch to brown after 6 months, but it can happen. All you can do is wait and see.

Hi - just saw your post & thought I'd have a go at answering. Apparently Eye colour has to do with Hormones as much as anything. I was born with & had Blue eyes right up til about 15 but they are now fully Hazel. My mum had blue eyes, and dads are hazel, same as mine.
Actually a friend of my mums', her eye colour changed when she was pregnant - one blue & one green!!
So... they might not change for years (if at all) I'm afraid! :o)

my twins eyes stayed blue, the doctor told us it could take up to a year to change. i have brown, my hubby has green, my oldest daughter has brown. :)

Thanks for all the comments so far. I really hope they stay with the blue, it is nice to see the recessive jean come through....its kinda weird seeing blue when we both have and were expecting our children to have brown.

My two are now 15 months (12 corrected) and both have the most amazing blue eyes. I have green eyes, daddy has blue eyes. I don't think they'll change, but then again I've heard of people's eyes that change into their 20s. I know my eyes used to change colour depending on what I was wearing (blue/green/grey) and only settled on green when I was 18.

They can change until age 5, or so most experts are saying now. My oldest son's eyes changed 3 times before getting to the color they are now. He was around 3 when they became the final color. My husband and I both have brown eyes and our 5 1/2 month old twins both still have blue eyes.

I agrre with the 6 week timeline for eyes changing color. I have 4 children. I have blue eyes, and my husband has hazel eyes,and all of our children have my blue eyes, but we weren't too surprised when our twins said they have blue eyes with a golden ring around the iris. Actually, I think it's kind of neat!

My twins are 10 months and still have blue eyes. My eyes are a yellowish-brown, my DH's are blue-grey. I had blue eyes until I was about 2 years old, and my DD's eyes stayed blue until she was 14 months, and then turned hazel. I was told by the dr. that eye color can change up until 3 years old, but usually change within the first year. It all depends on the child.

well, if you each have a parent with blue eyes then they have about a 25% chance of having blue eyes. if neither of you have a parent with blue eyes....well, it all depends. Blue eyes are recessive which means brown eyes will always be the dominant color but it is still very possible for 2 brown eyed parents to have blue eyed children, however, except in cases of albinism or similar conditions, 2 blue eyed parents can NEVER have a brown-eyed kids. my nephews changed right after he turned 1. my twins are 9 months and my girl still has blue but my husband and i have brown. we both have moms with blue eyes so i know there is a pretty fair chance of her eyes staying blue...i really hope so! it would be cute.

One of my boys was born with blue eyes and the other brown. Garrett kept his blue eyes until he was about 6 months, then they turned hazel. I was really hoping they would stay blue, but no such luck.

I have heard of them changing anywhere up until the age of 3, but I think they will probably stay blue, my twin boys have beautiful big blue eyes as well.
