My twins were born @ 25wks may 2008, they were very small my son was 1lbs7oz, my daughter 15oz. They are now very Big babies, but my daughter has never left the NICU, she has pulmonary hypertention and still requires quite a bit of 02, so she can't come home yet, I show them pictures their pictures all the time and i put her blanket in his crib when i come home from seeing her a the hospital, and i surround her crib at the hospital with pictures of Elijah, her twin and her older broter.. She will be moving to a private room in a few week, so then i may get to have them togerther, but know im wondering, have they lost that twin bond??? My neices are twins also, and i see them toghether and wonder if mine will be the same??

thx, i just never thought it would she would be there this long:(

thank you everyone:) , Chloe was moved to the pedi ICU unit and we were all able to be together. It was so great, Elijah was bitting on her foot, she was touching his face, he was pulling her cpap off.... We had a blast, :)

I felt this way as well because my one twin (14.8 oz) spent so much time in the NICU. She has glasses and an NG tube still now, so I have to be careful because my bigger one tries to pull them off of her face. I can see that they are interested in each other now. I definitely think they will be just fine. I'm glad to see your babies are doing well and your little one is getting better. Mine has pulmonary hypertension as well. She just needs ox for naps and nighttimes now. It will get better.

They will always have that bond. They're little miracle babies! You are such a strong woman and I admire what you are doing for your family and your babies.

You are an amazing Mom! With the kind of support you are giving them they will be just fine. I don't think there is anything that can really break the bond that twins have. This seperation is brief in the overall scheme of things. Good luck in getting your little one home and healthy soon.

You are precious. The things you are doing to nurture that twin bond are just amazing. You're a great mom! Don't worry. My twins slept separately from very early on. Your babies are going to go through so much together. All they'll know is being part of a team, a twin. One thing you learn having twins is that every baby is different, so there's no way to tell what their dynamic will be. I do know they'll love each other and will not remember this brief separation. Good luck with your daughter! =)

I think they'll still know each other, they spent a lot of time together, and you're doing great things for them! Please let us know how they react to each other when they get back together.
