I believe that we need to create a community of mothers and sisters in the UAE to gather and support each other towards a better life & better family. My childhood was great. I enjoyed every Tradition and Muslim activities through out the year. I don't see children doing what we "Emiratis" were doing and i hate seeing my tradition disappearing. I know that time changes, but the real reason for that change is that the number of locals is way less than the foreigners and that made some Emrati mothers feel uncomfortable to gather in public places. We need to respect the need of Arabs. I really like the Ladies Club. Even though it has limited facilities to help Mothers enjoy them with their family & friends. I hope from this group to help other mothers feel comfortable to give ideas & get-to-gethers that suits other mothers. You can participate with any thought or need no matter how simple it is. I'll give you an example of an idea: I'm living in New Maharba and there are some villas here turned to mini apartments! a villa turned to 6 apartments!!! and of course only single indian & philippino men will live there. One of the most annoying scenes is that i see those men starring at the Emirati children in a very sick way while they are playing outside. Sometimes babysitters will leave the children cycling alone and just stand chatting with those men. We really need a small playing area fin every block or mother, maids, and children to play in just like what i see in Europe. In this playing yard we must include sand, swings, and those kinds of entertainers to keep all the children of the block playing together away from the street, car ways, and strangers. Good Luck!
