Hi there I am a single mum who has a 6 year old son who has been haven seizures.
It started like this First week of school holidays My son woke up at 6am as he usual does then at 9am he said to me that he was tired and went to bed he slept till 11am this is not normally for him, but I thought that he was just catching up on his sleep. He was also m=not eating as much as he usual does but that didn't bother me.
That night at 12am Malachi came into my room and said he had a iche bit so I put cream on his foot and then he wanted cuddles so I let him.
At 12.30am I felt my bed shaken and thought that it was a earthquake but then realized it was not I called for ambulance who came and we went to hospital.
At the hospital @ 4am he had another one in front of the doctors, we stayed in and at 7am and then 8.30am he had another one at 11am he had a CT scan and after that he had another one.
@ 2pm we went to wellington hospital so he could have a EEG when we got back to Lower Hutt hospital at about 7.30pm he had another one these seizures where all about 1minute. @ 3am in the morning he had another one that lasted for 6minutes.
I had been there from the time he had the first one My ex husband was not there and that was not good.
we got sent home on the Sunday. So we where both pleased.
Then is the 2 week of the holidays he had another one on Wednesday then on the Thursday he had a bit one that lasted from 7.14am to 7.30am when the amblumce
came we went streat to the hospital and got same help. On Friday this week that has gone Malachi had a MRI and it came back clear so we are not sure if he has Epilepsy and it is frustrating as we don't know what it is, or why it is happening.
One of the doctors has said the he does have Epilepsy.
Is there anyone else who's child who has got this and this has never happened before so it was a shock to me.
