Here we go do you think kids should be allowed on facebook? We know the rules say 13 and over but we all know kids are on there as young as 8. Do you think theres any harm in it?

yes i do. but i say that now - my son is only two years old. i dont know what i would feel in 6 years time. but at the moment i dont feel an 8 year old has the understanding to keep personal info private and what all is included in personal info. if i did change my mind in a few years time and allowed it i would only allow his closest friends and family access and i would monitor it closely.
there are too many child predators, bullies, etc... even 13 is young to handle the rubbish that the internet can throw. My son is quite a sensitive, gentle character too.
