I REALLY enjoyed this book. I read it a couple years back (several books ago)

The Japanese internment camps are not much talked about and not one of our proudest moments in American history. I think I remember a Danielle Steel book that was beautify done on the subject "Silent Honor" (you can tell both authors did their homework).

I loved the premise that you can find love again, even though it may seem impossible. I was sad when the book ended and wanted it to continue. It was a book that I mourned when it was over.

The info on the internment camps was great. I could not get behind the two main characters. In fact, for about 1/3 of the book, I wasn't 100% sure who the narrator was. I did not like it much. The premise is interesting, but I didn't like the way the story was told.
