My son has had 2 rounds of shots but only dtap hib and rotavirus and at his 6 month he got a flu shot I'm so tore if I should have even got those shots I have a brother and cousin that are autistic and I'd rather have an autistic son ,then a son that died from a disease that I could have prevented. But what are the chances of him getting the disease? I'm just tore I think to give myself a peace of mind I'm going to delay shots till school? Two rounds of shots is enough for now

Hi Yael,

Well if you look into the whole "Herd Immunity" theory it is not what most people think it is. Most people these days think herd immunity is based on the amount of people vaccinated protecting those that have not been, that is because the vaccine industry has promoted it that way, but it is actually incorrect.

Back in the early 1900's when the researcher Heidrich coined the term "Herd Immunity" it was in relation to his studies on measles and the pattern the illness takes in the population it had nothing to do with vaccination, it was to do with natural immunity that people had as a result of contracting the wild illness.

The vaccine industry has taken his research and skewed it to pertain to vaccines, inturn helping to promote their products.

As a result people take the whole 'herd immunity' idea on face value without really knowing what they are talking about, without doing any research into it because the people that promote vaccines have told them so.

I would also argue that a child that has not been vaccinated and is a healthy child, ie does not have any immune system problems, has the full integrity of their immune system, but a child that has been subjected to the full vaccine schedule is a child with a compromised immune system therefore more likely to catch the illness.

Hi all,
I would like to know what you would answer to someone who says that it is irresponsible for me not to vaccinate my child because he can then catch these diseases easily and spread them further and that can cause death in infants or older people whose immune system isn’t well-built.
Thanks,

I have three children, they are four, two and three months. All three of my children are up to date on thier shots. I do it because i believe the benifits out way the risk. I understand they have some very bad side effects. My youngest brother had a bad reaction to the shots.

I live in Australia and thankfully it is not compulsory here.

My partner and I have been together for 10 years and even before the birth of our first child this year we had discussed it and we both felt the same about it. We are against it for many reasons.

If you start thinking about the whole issue which is multi faceted I believe it makes sense not to do so.

Esepcially given the amount of toxins used in them - it amazes me that more people do not question it more.

Firstly Mercury is a poison, so why is it injected into a precious tiny baby starting at 8 weeks?!. I believe that more people will become aware of the problems associated with vaccines and that more and more people will realise that the truth about side effects and both long term and short term health problems are associated with vaccines will come out more and more.

After the birth of my first and precious baby I spoke with my doctor who was evidently more open minded about the whole issue than most. When I asked her did most mothers she saw at her practice vaccinate their kids she said and I quote " the mother's that give the full shcedule of vaccines do not understand the dangers of vaccinating" She also gave me a book to read about vaccines called "Vaccination it is your informed choice" by Dr Peter Baratosy, this helped me to understand the issue on a bigger picture level that the government brochure does NOT. It explains in detail how the immune system works and how immunisations only target one aspect of the immune system and after the many jabs we are told to give our kids there is a real danger of the immune system getting 'used up' after all it is not infinate. (This also draws a possible correlation with the recent rise in cases with so many children suffering from allergic reactions to nuts and things like asthma being far more common these days.)

Also the book goes into lots of detail about the history and nature of the illnesses as well as what is in the vaccines themselves. This started me doing my own research on the issue as I was determined to find out the truth about this. There was no way I was going to jab my perfect little baby with the toxins present in vaccines just because most people did so.

So I have spent the last 3 or more months reading everything I can get my hands on and talking to people that have and have not vaccinated their kids.

As a result of collecting all that information I have decided that for now I will not vaccinate my child. I believe that most people are told if they dont vaccinate that their child is a sitting duck, which I don't think this is true at all. Health is a holistic issue it can not be solved with a jab.

Maybe one day the vaccine issue will be seen as a hazard to the health of children (which I believe it is) and banned just as Asbestos, Lead in paint and DDT were all once thought to be safe and since many years of damage and finally people realised after proper research was done that these chemicals harmed us.

I choose not to get my children vaccinated. I worked for a chiropractic doctor who also specializes in homeopathic and nutritional areas. Both of my girls have been adjusted by the chiropractor since they were 2 weeks old. I have been to many seminars in which explains the harmful effects that vaccines can have on our systems. I have researched and made what I feel is the best decision possible for my children. I am real big into healthy organic living. I breastfed both of my girls, which gives them a super start if you do decide to opt out of vaccinations. Neither one of my girls have been sick to speak of...just a few common viral colds (which have to run there course). If it looks as if they might get an ear infection, I head straight to the chiropractor! But I have only had to do that once since my oldest was born and she is 4 yrs old. I also keep a few things on hand and they are extremely helpful...One is called Silver Biotics ( it is an every day Immune System Support) and I give a whole food based liquid multi-vitamin from Liquid Health called Children's Multi Dietary Supplement. I believe if you choose not to get vaccinations, you need to really do the research on the alternative ways of staying healthy. Good luck to all of you..I hope I have been helpful in some way! Oh and for the adults in my family we use the Silver Biotics, Whole Food Based Multi -Vitamin ( I use ENERGY by Highland Laboratories, and when we start to feel sick with a cold or something we use TRIGUARD PLUS which is made up of grapefruit extract, tea tree oil, and colloidal gold. We all stay really healthy and my children are super smart...I say it is because of our healthy lifestyle!

I vaccinated my first son fully until he was four. This was before I knew any better, although I had heard things about the link to Autism with the MMR shot and asked my health department about getting them in separate doses, because I had heard this was the safer option, and I did not realize that I had the choice to NOT vaccinate. They told me it wasn't offered separately, but this MMR vaccine was safe. He is now 8 and has ADHD, allergies to several foods, and anger management issues. With my second child, we opted out of any vaccines because I got remarried and he was concerned about it so i did my research. Last year, when he was about 17 months old there was a supposed outbreak of Whooping Cough in the neighborhood of my sister-in-law and we panicked for a second, getting him first shot of the DTaP. My husband believes that is the reason for his speech delay, he is 2 and a half and is still not speaking clearly. We decided afterwards that we would not get follow-up shots as they are not even effective until the third dose. With our youngest we completely opted out of vaccines and did not even get the vitamin K shot in the hospital. She is 16 months and has been sick once in her life! We made these choices after being educated and learning what is put into these vaccines. There are so many additives and chemicals that we believe it to be more harmful than good. I especially believe this because of all of the allergies my oldest son has.

I wish I had known years ago what I know now about vaccines. My oldest daughter is 13 now , she was completely vaccinated with no reactions that I noticed. (she DOES have asthma now tho) The last set of shots she received were her Kindergarten entrance vaccines. She was due for another one for entrance into 7th grade so I went and got Religious exemptions for all 4 of my kids. My son now 10 yrs old had a severe reaction to either the DTP or MMR not sure which since the docs didnt document which went in which arm. His arm swelled up and looked red and dimply and hot to the touch. ER docs filed report with CDC and drew a line around the swelling and kept him overnight to see if it was spreading or shrinking. It continued to spread for 2 days before shrinking back and going away. He stopped potty training at soon after that and stopped speaking as well. (This was his 3rd dose) He was already in speech and language therapy for a tongue tie, and was almost complete with the therapy when he regressed. He has continued to receive speech nd language therapy ever since. He has Sensory Integration Dysfunction, trouble focusing, Absence seizures where he spaces out almost like as if in a daydream, his eyes roll around and he doesnt respond until its over, usually 30-45 seconds. Has trouble focusing but no ADD or ADHD. He has been diagnosed as having Aspergers Syndrome and is on an IEP in school and continues to struggle daily with such simple(for most kids) things as socializing, group work in the classroom, and homework. He has trouble knowing when someone is being serious or joking with him and just recently started showing sympathy for others. He ended up with a medical exemption for both DTP and MMR due to the reaction and the religious exemption covers the rest. At this point I still didnt think there was a connection( How blind was i?) I went ahead and got my next child my now 8 yr old daughter vaccinated on a severely delayed schedule. ( docs say autism runs in families yet my son was the very first EVER. They said my now 8 yr old daughter was high risk of developing it too since she has the same mom n dad as my son so they suggested delaying vax's too.) By the time she started kindergarten she was up to date on shots. (She now also has asthma and has been life flighted during an attack) Both my older girls were on nebulizers as tiny babies for bronchitis around 3 mos and again at 6 months and 11 months. My 4th baby is 15 months old and completely un vaccinated. No bronchitis no nebulizer no illnesses yet. Only things she has ever had so far is roseola. She had a sudden high fever which went unnoticed until half way thru her first febrile seizure. (another reason I wont vaccinate her with fever inducing vaccines that will cause her to have more febrile seizures) She is high risk for having repeat febrile seizures now with every fever. Plus her father has epilepsy. Who knows if epilepsy has some sort of a link to vaccines or not? after all it IS a neurological disorder.

Quoting Chariti:

I truly believe in mothers intuition. I vaccinated my son with the first round of shots and felt HORRID after words. He handled them fine but I will not do it again until he goes to school. And even then I will only get what is required. In 1987 there were 10 Vax shots and now there are 36! It's completely rediculous!

Exactly. Here's a good comparative chart http://njaicv.org/Documents/compare.pdf

Oh, and I think everyone should know that there are laws out there protecting your rights to choose. If you live in the United States. I don't know much about the laws of other countries. But I have lived in a few different states the last few years and have had exemptions in each. If you want to know the laws in your state, I recommend going to NVIC.org. Click on Vaccine laws at the top, then click on state vaccine requirements. That should bring up a map of the US. Just click on your state and there you go. It's very helpful.

I vaccinated my eldest completely, and he is now autistic. Not that I am positive of the connection, but it has played a role in my research. However, my 2nd was vaccinated at the same time as my 3rd. And I stopped them both at the same time. The 2nd was about 2 1/2 and the 3rd was 6 months. They both developed a bad rash all over their bodies within a few days after getting vaccinated. Even though they both didn't get the same shots. I had a friend make a comment about the rash being from the shots, and it got me thinking. So I asked the doctor and he was adamant that it was NOT from the vaccine and there was no way it was possible, but he couldn't tell me what it was other than a virus of some sort. Here's some creams and drugs. Go home.

So as soon as I got home, I looked it up. One of the most common side effects of a vaccine is a skin rash. That's when I realized, either the doctors didn't know squat and refused to admit they didn't know it, or they just didn't want me to know. So, I started reading more and more and more. I told my husband they would not get any more shots until I finished reading about it. Until I came to a conclusion. Well, I never finished reading about it. But I have come to a conclusion. There's way too much information about the negative aspect of vaccinating than there is about the positive. And my beliefs are centered around the natural healing aspects of nature and God. I fully believe that God has given us a way of dealing with everything that comes our way. Herbs, plants, sunlight, prayer, and our immune system all work together to keep us healthy. And when we mess with something, it all has side effects.

And now my 4th hasn't had a single vaccine! We have been a non vaccinating family for nearly 4 years now!

I vaccinate, but not ALL vaccinations! I don't get the optional flu/H1N1 unecessary shots. Also I refuse to get the MMR shot due to the research done linking it to Autism. My son gets all other shots, but I always wait a week or two longer than the monthly deadlines so his body has time to catch up. Research Research Research before giving your child the MMR shot.

I have 2 kids and do not and will not vaccinate. My friend vaccinated her son until his 3rd round. She said within a few days it was like night and day. before that round he was normal and happy and developing like he should. After them he was banging his head against the wall, having screaming fits, etc. he is now 5 and has since been diagnosed with severe autism and has the mentality of a 9 month old. It just is NOT worth it when we don't have these diseases here and haven't for decades. One of the ingredients in the vaccines include antifreeze! Are you KIDDING me?!

i vaccinated my 1st until he was 1 yr. old, i did nt have ANY of the info that i have now, it just felt soo wrong. he's going to be 8 in a few days. my last 3 have had NO vaccs' at all, not even the HepB when they were born (umm, hello..why would he need that when he's 6 hours old) anyhoo. i just think that the human race is moving from acute disease like chix pox and measles, that serve to strengthen the immune system to chronic disease, like lupus, and chronic fatigue, ADDHD..so on.. why on Earth would they vaccinate against something like chicken pox if there wasn't a TON of $$ to be made?!

mercury, and human fetal tissue from aborted babies, monkey liver DNA is NOT meant to be injected into a developing immune system. breaking through the skin with 6 viruses bypasses the way the body naturally developes an immunity- first in through the nasal passages, so on. causing the body to overreact and trigger an over response. thats what an auto immune disease is- your

immune system attacking your own body- its very unnatural!

i dont know why the avarage joe isn't picking up on this- at this point 92% of parents still vaccinate..and then put little Johnny on ritilin when he cant sit still. and i bet MOST of these parents are still asking their DOCTOR of they should vaccinate.
