My son's old doctor told us that she wouldn't see us anymore...and that no other pediatrtian would unless we got him vacinated. We found a great pediatritian and he's even said he doesn't even care about most vaccines! Now what does that tell us?! I found this site about vaccine exemption forms hope it helps :)

You should be able to go to your local health department office and fill out a religious exemption form. Even if you are not religious it may be the only way to get around having vaccines. The state cannot question your religious beliefs, they are not even allowed to ask you to explain your beliefs to them, The fact that you don't believe it is right to vaccinate is the only belief you need. If you are attending a private school they can require vaccines, because they are not funded by the state. Most private schools will respect your choice if you explain to them your concerns. As for the doc, I would find a different doctor. Maybe a naturopathic doc would be a could choice for your family. I would not want to take my kids to a doctor that won't respect my decision as a parent to choose what is right. You are making the right choice!!! Thank you for standing up for what you believe. Good Luck

What state are you in? Oklahoma says all you have to do is write a letter to the school stating its against your religion, or philosophical beliefs or for underlying med. condition. my kids have had up to 12 month shots (both my boys) & my daughter recieved her 6 month vaccinations... she will NOT get anymore from here on out. b/c my personal beliefs on vaccines & autism

I just wanted to inform everyone: my son is not vaccinated. I got a religious exemption form signed it and took it to both doctor in school. He is in school and his pediatrician continues to pressure me to get vaccinated. Stand your ground ladies... Don't do it. My little brother has Aspberger's and we are thinking it was linked to his vaccinations.

There is something called a Conscientious Objection to Immunizations. My mom signed a form at the school when my little brother went to school...but that was in MN. I'm actually trying to find out the same info.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

Each state is different -- where are you? There are tons of resources online about what exactly you have to do to deal with the school issue. Here in California, for instance, we have all three exemptions (health, religious, and philosophical), and all you have to do is flip over the "immunization" (total misnomer!) card and sign that you are opposed to them.
Regardingyour dr, I say run away anyway! All they want to do is shoot them up or drug them up. I have a 6 year old and 9 month old, and neither one has ever been to a pediatrician! I am in charge of their health (which I take very seriously and breastfeed longterm, use herbs and homeopathics exclusively when they are sick, and make wise (but not perfect) choices about foods and drinks, etc.), and I also use a chiropractor who helps to keep their bodies functioning the way God designed them to.
