Hi, my daughter is 2 months old and I was wondering what are some fun activities to do around Ventura? I guess most anything we do she'll probably sleep a lot, but I'm just having a hard time thinking of things my husband and I can do with her besides stay at home all the time.

Theres Underwood Family farms in Moorpark. Its great, they have a little zoo( you have to see the goats in there tree house) & play area and you can pick your own produce. Actually, there's this place called Gardens of the World in Thousand Oaks. http://www.gardensoftheworld.info/
It is by far the most beautiful garden I have ever seen and It is well worth the visit! The best part? It's free and you can go any time you want. :D It's so relaxing and you can easily spend a couple of hours roaming about or just sitting and enjoying the scenery or taking pictures.

the zoo, (L.A, or S.B), state street shopping, the beach, the Ventura, Santa Monica or Santa Barbara pier, playgrounds (swinging amd going down slides with them), Barnes & Nobles story time, Library story time...there is tons of stuff to do if you look! I just happened to grow up around here and am raising my daughter here too :)

I remember when my son was an infant I used to put him in his stroller and just go for a walk. I'd take a book and find a place to stop and read, even if it was just a fast food place or a shady spot under a tree. Also taking a stroll on the beach was fun, or the park.

We took our first daughter to the zoo when she was really young and it was fun. We just go places just to get out - you could walk down main street in Ventura? We do Santa Monica a lot. Just to exercise and people watch. SB might be easier for you. We just did that last weekend and it was really fun. Do you have a Gymboree Activity place out there? You could sign up for a class? I think that it is around $20.00.

i live south of you in thousand oaks and have a 9months old and there really isnt anything we have found to do with our son but we have gone to the zoo with him and the first time i took him he was 3 months old you guy could drive to the sb zoo
