Would love to organise something. During the school term though, the only days/time I have free is Monday morning, Tuesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon or any time on a Friday. So, the 13th would be good for me, if it was of an afternoon.

Hi I'm a Melbourne mum with a special passion for keeping the magic of childhood alive. If you're in Melbourne come and visit Honeybee Toys or look on our web www.honeybeetoys.com.au We have lots of traditional, educational toys also eco, organic and non-toxic. I started up when I found real toys so hard to find when my own children were born. I also have a blog sharing my life in Melbourne, book & movies reviews, and some info on Steiner schools for those interested, you can find it through my website. Nice to connect with you all.

It was raining over the other side of the city when mum was talking to her friend but it didnt really rain a few spots here and there then yesterday when i got up it had been raining.

Hi rachael, My daughters the same if its that hot her hair is wet with sweat.

When my mum was 7/8 months old and it was hot my nan had no air con so she got a bucket of cooold water and put ice in it with a fan blowing all the coolness to my mum and nan said she never moved because it was so cool.

Yesterday it was raning but today were back to the heat, silly weather.

hi im in st albans and we lost power for 3 hours and no we dont have air con which sucks because its so hott on those 40 something degree days my sons hair was so wet with sweat poor thing & my daughter just lay there because it was too hot to move lol. i have resorted to cold showers but when you get out its so hot you want to jump right in again.

adding you now :D

Ladies - my daughter was so excited about going back to school that she actually made her own (extremely healthy i might add.. for once lol!) lunch to take with her. She made a turkey salad wrap, chucked some almonds in a tupperware container, filled her water bottle and put a yoghurt in (and yes, she remembered her spoon! woohoo!) and put everything into the fridge. I nearly died of yay because she even cleaned the bench when she was done!

Ahh she's a good kid :D

Im not usually one for cold showers but with this weeks heat it has been the only way to go.

My daughter splashes around in the bath for half an hour then gets a bit sick of it, i have a little pool but its even been to hot to have her in it in the shade!

Its beautiful outside i sat out there playing with our dog and then just relaxed with a cold drink and a smoke. Aw thats so cute i remember what it was like the night before school went back

Do u have msn if so u can add me if u like:

haha i know what you mean tho lauren - i had a COLD shower the other day and the mirror was all steamed up.

My daughter's been opting to just float in the bath, but yeah even that's been turning our place into a sauna!

It's actually nice outside tonight - i was sitting outside reading a book and having a smoke and just enjoying the peace and quiet :D my girl came home from her dads tonight, so we spent some mummy/kiddy time together and just hung out - she's back at school tomorrow and is so excited she can't sleep.

Tan- My dad and sister are in st albans and they lost power, that is weird haha but lucky for u. i put my daughter in a cool bath as our house turned into a sauna with no aircon and walked around the block and spoke to neighbours until it came back on about 3 hours later.

Todays the first day ive actually done anything around the house is been way to hot to move from the aircon

Lauren - i feel for you - everyone else i know in St Albans and the west lost their power, but we didn't (it was only our little estate.. everyone else on every side of us lost power.. weird hey?)

All I can say is thank whoever's in charge up there that it's cooled down coz hell, even tho it was warm today, it was nothing like the past week and I actually willingly left the house.

It's awful isn't it? Kids driving me nuts because we can't get outside! Loving our cooling too though, had it put in Jan last year so very, very thankful we did. Could you legally marry your a.c? And then, if you did, could you be guilty of bigamy?
