Hi Helen,
When my 2nd came along i bought a convertible booster from my local Big W. It comes with a 5 point harness for kids from about 8kgs and then it can convert to a booster with either a H harness or with the regular seatbelt until 26kg. He has been in that since he was 1 1/2 and is now 3 and the 5point harness still fits safely on him.
The brand is Infa-Secure Optimus Convertible Booster Seat.
Hope this helps.

u need to check the road laws becaused it changed late last yr when it comes to baby seats adn booster seats..if im not mistaken it doesnt go by age anymore..but by weight and height of a child..if i remembered correctly i think the child needs to be at least 24 kilos to be in a booster..

Hi i thought they changed the laws on that in November and now kids have to be 4 years old before they can go in a booster. Our Maternal child health nurse gave us a brochure on it and also they had them at our local target country store. Sorry have no idea where the brochures are now but maybe ask your health nurse.
