Try a mix of vegies: ie: peas, diced carrots, rice, pumpkin together mash lighly, they love it.
I gave my son and my little girl at present the same.
They should by 12 mths be eating most things you eat, like sausages cut up, mash potato - carrot- pumpkin - parsnip - sweet potato anything that involvves some chewing and exploration of different types of foods. color variety are all a must.
Don't be scared cause if they don't like it or can't eat it they'll tell u.
Its hard to wean off those baby food jars, maybe try mixing the jars of say chicken veg baby jar with some of your potato or mixing up your own veg mix thats a little more chunker than the jars.
Anyway good luck.
