I am currently going through a rough time with the state on the matter of pursuing Evalyn's biological father for child support/ medicaid payments. I have applied for Medicaid and closed it once already, but then I ended up in the hospital and had to have surgery so I had to get back on it. They Want to go after him to help pay for costs the state has to pay. He was abusive, physically, emotionally, and mentally. He threatened to kill me and my entire family, and threatened my minor sister openly on facebook. I moved to another state and changed my name to stay away from him. I don't want him to find me. It's too late to lie to the state. I don't have much on him anyways, just a name and discription, he never had a steady job and didtn't when i left, much less a place to live. He will come after us if he knows where we are and how to find us. The state says they wont close my case unless some legal action was taken, ie police were called on him. I never did that, but honestly how many abused women call the cops? I came close a few times but he told me he had hidden illegal substances in my appartment and if I were to call the police I would go to jail. I would like to know if any of you have some legal advice to help me tell the state to back off and dont go after the crazy ******#)$)#* lol but in a nice way. I don't want them to think I just dont want to co-operate.
