i have a 3 week old baby and the father is on hard drugs, hes very violent, been in and out of prison and been in and out of homeless accomodation, but he wants to take the baby for weekends or days to his sisters house without me there to supervise him. he has been outside my parents house shouting and threathening us all saying he will throw a pipe bomb threw the window etc.. we live in a very gave good area and my family are respectable and very good living people and its very distressing for them, my parents are in their late 60's and they are sooo much help with my child, but the dads giving us all so much hassel, we have been letting him come into the house and see the baby any time he wants and making him dinner and everything but its not enuf, he wants to take her out on his own... the only time ive left him alone with the baby (while i made a bottle) i came back into the room and she had red on her face...i questioned him and he said he'd given her a spoonfull of pasta sause, she was 1 week old, and he let her suck on a crisp aswell!!!! he thought it was funny. what do i do??? would a court give him access??? the thing is, when i first got with him i started taking drugs myself but now im on methadone, but im afarade that i will loose the moral high ground because of it.. but no1 would ever think id be the type to have took drugs, i went to private school, im quiet, good family, intelligent. but the dads the total opposit to me.. like when he comes out here he robs from all our local shops n makes a show of us... and my uncle is the sargent of our local police station.... im in ireland. HELP!!

Depending on what you know about there law where you are located I dont think he can. If you have witnesses against him and his behavior i believe that if it came down to it, it would stand up in court. Not only that your uncle is the sergent so that will help as well.
He is on drugs and everything. When you go to court (if it comes to that) Immediately request a drug test, and tell them you do not want to wait in case there is anything in his system. Also petition for it so that if he doesnt show to the court date, he will immediately lose his parental rights.
I hope this helps..... Im sorry you are going through this but it can be handled :D
