A friend of my husband's family has a 6 year old son who was wearing a Hooter's shirt. She said he got it from her stepdad. I never asked if he had actually gone as well. I was in shock that she would even allow him to wear such a shirt! I definitely thought it inappropriate for a 6 year old! I agree with pp's- 18 would be an appropriate age. No sooner.

I totally agree Kara. My step sons bio mom did that and bragged about it. Plus sent us pics!! I am 33 and I havent even been there. I just had to make sure I was correct in my thinking or if I had gone overboard. Thanks ladies!!

18. Why would you want to take a child to a place full of girls dressed to get paid more thant the rest? In my opinion itl be like taking him to a strip club

So sorry to hear that Alexa. But try to remember that you and your step-sons father have a big influence on him. All you can do is raise him the way you feel best when he is in your care. I will be facing the same problems as my son gets older, as my partner and I have split recently and some of his family members are, well, crazy to say the least and quite frankly I don't feel my ex is a good role model either. But we have to be strong for the sake of our sons. Take care.

My 11 yr old SS was taken there by his BM and her new husband. I understand that the food there is good but when she sent us a picture text msg with SS cuddled up with their large breasted cutie/ waitress the message was clear. She is going to do whatever she wants! Gggggrrrrrrr......................

if you consider your son a child then to whatever his age is it is not appropriate. i mean yeah he probably will see girls less dressed at a pool but that is a little different. the thought on going to hooters i think for a guy is to look at the girls. the girls go out of there way to look their best and to get the most attention, plus i believe some of then flirt with the customer to get a bigger tip. so until he is 18yrs old i think its not ok.
